Have you been given the task of planning a hen party for a bride to be but you’re unsure where to take her? If so you’ve come to the right place to read about some amazing places that might just tick the boxes on her (or your) list.
Planning a hen party can sometimes be just as stressful as planning the whole wedding. Brides need to choose someone who is good with planning and who knows exactly what they would like. One task they need to be forward thinking with is the type of hen night. Will it consist of just one night at the local pub/restaurant, a night away or perhaps even a few days away This is why some brides request to have more than one party. Sometimes they have one or two smaller parties – one at home and one abroad instead of one big one.
If you are considering a weekend away the hardest part is probably finding the perfect hen party destination that would suit everyone attending but depending on budget, the age of the attendees and the type of activities the bride and her party would enjoy there are plenty of places to consider. Here are five places you could take your party and a few things to do in each place.
London has a little bit of everything a girl could possibly want – there’s shopping, west end shows, plenty of places to eat and drink and more attractions than you could possibly fit into a few days. If your bride to be is a fan of Harry Potter you could take her to the Making of Harry Potter studio tour followed by a lovely afternoon tea or meal of her choosing. If the theatre is more of her thing she won’t be disappointed with what’s on offer in the West End – The Lion King, Wicked, Only Fools and Horses and Tina are just some of the amazing productions that are showing.
County Clare, Ireland
If calm and tranquil is what your hen party wants then a trip to the emerald isle would be just the ticket. County Clare has everything from beautiful scenery, cosy cottages to busy towns and nightlife. Your party might find enjoyment in the countryside or they may find that they want to experience something a little bit different such as paintballing or creating their own perfume.
If your bride to be is a bit of a party animal then Blackpool is a place she will love. You can spend your days on the beach, playing in the arcades, riding the Big One at The Pleasure Beach or taking a trip to the top of the tower and your night in one of its many pubs, bars and clubs.
A girl is never too old for Disney and/or a little bit of magic. If your bride to be is a princess at heart she would be made up with a few days in Disneyland. With all the characters to meet and rides to explore you can be sure that she will be kept on her toes for the whole of your visit.
Amsterdam gets a bit of a bad rep and it’s usually from people who have never visited but I love the city and have nothing but good things to say about the place. I’ve been twice and would love to go again. There is so much to see and do whilst there and the people are ever so friendly – just make sure you’re not walking in the paths of cyclists as they won’t stop for you. Places to visit include Madame Tussauds, Anne Frank’s House, Hardrock Cafe and Keukenhof Gardens if you are visiting Amsterdam between March and May. The Gardens is home to over 800 different varieties of tulip.
Are you planning a hen party soon? if so I hope my ideas have given you a little inspiration.
