Choosing The Perfect Wedding Ring
Are you in the middle of planning your wedding and now at the point where you and your other half are ready to look at wedding rings?
Planning a wedding can be daunting as there are so many things you need to think about and get right – you want to make sure everything is perfect for your big day for both you and your partner. But it needn’t be stressful – it really can be as easy or as hard as you make it. It also depends on how much you overthink things. For instance, did you spend hours looking at the many different types of engagement rings before deciding on the perfect one?
If you are finding it hard to choose the right rings then I have a few things for you to consider to make your decision a little easier.
The Material
I’ve said it before but I am a big fan of yellow gold so there was no other option for me when it came to us choosing my engagement ring and wedding ring. Whether you like gold, silver, rose gold, platinum or titanium there are plenty of choices out there. Some metals are more hardwearing than others so this might be worth considering especially if your intended has a job that involves a lot of hard work on their hands you may want to choose a ring made from a harder material. If you’ve already got an engagement ring in one type of metal you probably want to buy a wedding ring made from the same material so they match.
Design
You might have decided to buy moissanite rings so that your intended has a matching wedding band too. This would take a lot of the stress and worry out of choosing wedding rings as you would have already made the decision before getting to this point in your planning. If you don’t find a ring to suit your tastes you may even decide to have a ring made from your own unique design. This isn’t a cheap option, but it would mean that no one else would have the same ring.
New or Vintage
Sometimes a new ring isn’t right for you or your partner and only something older will do. At the minute vintage rings are a popular choice for both engagement and wedding rings. Sometimes family heirlooms are passed down the generations and even if the ring doesn’t fit it can be altered or changed to ensure it will last for future generations.
