It’s Official – We Are Getting Married This Year!!!!

Yesterday was 13 years to the day since I met Matthew. Who knew that a Friday night out with the girls in Scarborough would have led to me meeting my soul mate, love of my life, father to my children and best friend.

We never thought it would happen…

We’ve been engaged for what seems like forever and I was sure we’d never actually get around to getting married as we’ve both been saying that this year is most definitely the year for the last 5 or 6 years at least but after a very lovely windfall a couple of weeks before Christmas we have finally been able to book our wedding for this summer.

We are heading off to New York just as we planned but with the brothers in law and hopefully my best friend too. I’m still not sure if we will have a reception once home but either way we are definitely going to celebrate in style.

Other than getting married we’ve not made any other plans whilst there but as we will also be celebrating Matthew’s 40th birthday and the 4th July will be in the middle of our trip it’s safe to say we will certainly be partaking in some celebrating.

Can’t wait for our trip

As our hotel is nearer the city clerks office than all the touristy sites, we will be either taking the subway, a cab or walking a lot. I plan to walk if we can as I really want to see everything. One thing is for sure even if we don’t get to see everything New York has to offer we will definitely be back again in the future so that we can see other parts of the city.

I can’t wait to share our big day with you all in the summer.
