Tracks of My Years – Miracle Max
Music always has and always will be a big part of my life. So many songs bring back special memories to me but I’ve tried to narrow it down to some of my favourites:
Spice Girls – Wannabe
This song was released when I was 12 and I remember dancing around the living room to it, I instantly fell in love with the Spice Girls and over the next few years I purchased every song they released and went to watch them in concert. I still have a little dance all these years later if I ever hear this song.
The Black Eyed Peas – Meet Me Halfway
I met my now husband Adam in a bar back in 2010 and this song was playing at the exact moment I first locked eyes – for this reason, it will always be so special to me and I’ll never forget that moment.
Starship – Nothings Gonna Stop Us
Me and Adam couldn’t agree on a first dance at our wedding so we had 2 dances, this being the second one. We invited all our close family and friends up onto the dance floor to share the special moment with us and we have a lovely video of the moment – everyone looks so happy and we’ll treasure that memory forever.
The Carpenters – Please Mr Postman
The soundtrack to my childhood. My Mum and Dad had every Carpenters album ever released and would play it every time we went out in the car. I have fond memories of this song and us all singing along to it on our way to swimming lessons every Saturday morning.
Justin Bieber – Love Yourself
I can’t believe I’m including a Justin Bieber song in my selection. I never used to like him but just recently his music has taken a turn which really suits my current style. This is my favourite from his recent album. I was lucky enough to go and watch him in concert in London last week and he put on an awesome show. I’ve officially been converted.
Jo, I love your selection of tracks – I love Starship’s Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us now as it’s from one of my all time favourite cheesy movies Mannequin – I have a huge list of films that I love and that are oh so cheesy but have such great soundtracks (oh that gives me an idea for a future Tracks of my years blog post) and you’re not alone as much as I hate to admit it, I too became a recent fan of Justin Bieber’s music – what is happening to us all….
