My Wardrobe Must Haves At The Minute

Like the majority of people in the UK I’ve barely left the house in the last 6 months. It’s been a weird time for us all even when trying to keep as much normality as possible.

One thing I have insisted is that everyone is dressed properly during the week like normal – many of my friends have said they’ve lived in their PJs and nightwear and their kids the same or onesies – now don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with this but for me personally (as someone who doesn’t like too much change all at once) we had to keep it as near to normal as possible and being dressed at the start of the day was rule number one for me.

Having said that my wardrobe for the last couple of months has consisted of the below items.

Loungewear

When someone says loungewear to you what comes to mind? If you’d asked me a year ago I’d have said PJs and a dressing gown. Fast forward to now and it’s the comfiest clothes I own, wear regularly and plan to keep on wearing especially when the weather begins to turn cooler.

Two pairs of tracksuit bottoms, one black and one light grey, are laid out side by side on green grass in bright sunlight—perfect wardrobe must-haves for comfort and style.

Up until recently I owned one pair of joggers, and to be quite honest I hardly wore them unless I was exercising – now my wardrobe will never be without them – they are a game-changer let me tell you. I can team them up with a matching top or one of my many t-shirts. They are the comfiest thing to wear and are actually great for working from home in and if I need to pop to the shop I don’t need to change.

Shorts

As its been lovely and warm shorts and camisole tops have been a must-have for me. Last year I updated my summer wardrobe when we went on holiday to New York as we knew it was going to be hot (it didn’t disappoint the lowest temperature we had was 30°c whilst we were there). It’s weird but I didn’t feel the heat when we were away but at home, it has sometimes been really horrible and sticky so much so I’ve not enjoyed the weather like normal.

Sandals

A real must-have for all the lovely weather we’ve had recently. Last year we took the boys for lots of walks in the local area and I wore my trainers more often than anything else this year though because we have been staying at home sandals have been just perfect for nipping to the shop and sitting in the garden on the not so hot and sticky days.

PJs

I know I said earlier that PJs weren’t in my day to day clothes and yes that is true but there is nothing better than getting into a nice fresh pair of jammies after a bath or shower and chilling out before bed – chilling out has been a must go me this last few months and has actually helped me get a better nights sleep as I have taken the time to unwind and relax before bed.

What have been your must have wardrobes items over the last few months?
