The Pros of Having Engineered Wood Flooring In Your Home
If you’ve been keeping up with My Three and Me over the last few weeks you will have seen that we have spoken a lot about the different types of flooring you could choose for your home. Today we are going to tell you the pros to installing engineered wood flooring in your home.
The cost
Compared to laminate and vinyl flooring engineered wood flooring is more expensive to buy but it is much cheaper than solid wood flooring – it gives the same great look but for a lot less money.
Low maintenance
If you buy a quality engineered wood flooring it will last you a long time, in some cases 10 – 15 years. If you look after your flooring and clean it regularly it will look great for years to come, unlike carpet which can stain easily.
Better resistance
Unlike solid wood flooring engineered wood flooring has better resistance to hot and cold temperatures meaning it won’t bow, expand or shrink, unlike real wood might.
Looks great
There are so many different designs, styles and finishes of wood available that you will be spoilt for choice. Personally I think wooden floorings never go out of fashion and will always look great no matter what trends are “in” or what decor or furnishings you choose in the future.
Adds value
If you are looking to move home soon or in the future and want to give your home an expensive look and feel without spending lots of money then adding this type of flooring would be a great place to start.
