Swimwear for Every Body, Shape and Size

So, you’ve booked your summer holiday and you can’t wait for the days where you can sit back and relax. But you’re also dreading it as your holiday involves sitting on a beach or by the pool and you think that everyone will be looking at you in your swimwear – I know this feeling I’ve felt it before and we all know it’s not true but still we can’t shake that feeling. I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to feel this way anymore. Firstly, don’t let anyone stop you from enjoying your holiday or make you feel that you can’t wear a swimsuit. You should be 1000% happy in your own skin and in whatever you are wearing.

As a woman in her mid 30’s who has had 3 babies, eaten far too many takeaways and sweets in the last five years, is covered in stretchmarks, has a rather large bosom and not exercised nearly enough choosing swimwear has always filled me with dread. Off the shelf sizing doesn’t fit me well as I am bigger on my top half than I am on the bottom. So, I can totally sympathise with any woman who hates buying and wearing swimwear.

Although I’m an advocate of wearing whatever you want and being happy in your own skin I am so pleased to tell you that swimwear has come a long way over the last few years and designers are really taking on board the feelings us women have about our bodies and are really starting to get it right in their swimwear designs. A few brands I am loving at the minute are:

Lilly and Lime

Have you ever tried to find bras in anything over a D? without spending a small fortune it is not an easy task and don’t even talk to me about the task of trying to find swimwear that caters for women who are blessed with bigger boobs – they used to be almost impossible to find. That was until I was introduced to Lilly and Lime. They cater for ladies who wear a D cup and up. Their sizes start from a 32D. I love that they offer different styles of swimwear in many different designs so there is something to suit every body shape and size, if you like plain designs you’ll find them but if you’re after something more vibrant they have that too. If you want to cover your tummy, they have one piece suits and tankini’s available and if a bikini is what you’re after you can choose between a balconette, full bust, bandeau and many others. You can also choose which type of bikini bottom you’d prefer in sizes 8-22. They are the perfect mix and match site as you buy your top and bottom separately. This is perfect for those of us who aren’t just a size 10 or 12 all over.

Miraclesuit

I don’t think there is a woman on the planet who doesn’t feel self-conscious when they try on / wear swimwear. Since having the boys, I am definitely one of these women. If you’re like me then Miraclesuit is the brand for you. For the last two decades, they have been recognised as the leader in fashionable shaping swimwear.  Thanks to their special material you can look 10 lbs lighter in 10 seconds. Miraclesuit swimwear has almost twice the Lycra® content of most swimwear, and three times the holding power. They have suits in different styles and designs available.
