A Few Things To Make You Feel Younger

Getting older is something that happens to everyone but that doesn’t mean that you have to slow down and let it take over. If you are in relatively good health then you should embrace everything that life throws your way.

If you are stuck in a rut though and unsure of things to do to keep you busy I’ve got a few things you could think of doing. These include…

Go on holidays

Take as many holidays as you can afford. You could go to the same place year upon year – many of my parent’s friends and nana’s friends often go on holiday to the same resorts and hotels in Malta and Spain or you could vow to never visit the same place more than once and always opt for somewhere new when booking your next destination.

Update your look

If you want to always look your best you could have your hair done regularly. You could also opt to have surgery if you have areas that you’re unhappy with. Make sure you do your research to find the best plastic surgeon who will talk you through everything you will need to know.

Join a club

If you find yourself at a loose end and want to keep yourself busy you could join a club. If you have a hobby such as reading or painting you could look in your local area to see if like-minded people meet up. You could even think about trying a new sport perhaps tennis or even something like yoga, Pilates or tai chi which are all great for helping to keep you active. If you have limited mobility swimming would be a great alternative.

Be social

Loneliness can lead to all sorts of untold troubles. It can lead to ill health, anxiety and depression. If you are feeling lonely ring your friends and family and arrange to meet up with them regularly. If you are able to keep up with your friends and family it will keep you feeling younger for longer. If you are able to help with childcare you could offer to look after grandchildren whilst their parents work. You could plan family days out for the school holidays and you could even go on family holidays too.

Take up a hobby

If you don’t already have one, take up a hobby. I love reading and baking. I don’t have much time for either of these things but when I have time off work or when I’m on holiday I always make sure I find the time to bake and read a book or two. You could start painting, reading, knitting, fishing or even crafting. The possibilities are endless.

Enjoy a balanced diet

Eating healthy is definitely one of the most important things when it comes to staying fit and healthy. Drink in moderation and eat a well-balanced diet to ensure that your body is in tip-top condition.

Is there anything I have missed from my list? Perhaps you are feeling old and looking for something new to fill your time. If so please feel free to tell me your plans in the comments below.
