Ravensburger 3D Puzzles Review

My Three and Me love jigsaw puzzles. We love nothing better than to spend an afternoon together working our way through a puzzle or two and we were really excited when we were asked if we’d like to try three different 3D jigsaw puzzles featuring 3 of America’s most iconic landmarks. 

• Statue of Liberty 3D Puzzle (£19.99)

A unique 3D Puzzle, shaped as the Statue of Liberty. All the pieces fit together perfectly without the need for glue. All the pieces are numbered on the back. This puzzle includes 108 pieces and measures 37.5 tall when complete.

• Empire State Building with Lights 3D Puzzle (£24.99)

This is a new addition to the 3D jigsaw range from Ravensburger. It is made up of 216 pieces, has 5 different light effects and measures 48.5cm tall when complete.  

• Chrysler Building with Lights 3D Puzzle (£24.99)

This 3D puzzles has 216 pieces and requires 3 x AAA Batteries (not included). It measures 48cm tall when complete. The puzzle has two different light modes – you can have the puzzle glowing solid white or your puzzle can light up different colours in a sequence.

I really like that all the puzzles have pieces that are numbered and arrows showing you where the next numbered piece needs to be placed. They also have clear instructions to show you where pieces / structure supports need to be. When you are starting your puzzles it’s an idea to organise your pieces into piles so that you have them to hand when you are working your way around the model – unlike a traditional jigsaw you have to follow the numbers in order. I do think that these puzzles are quite hard to complete though as you need to make sure that all the hinge pieces are folded perfectly to make the pieces meet correctly – trust me on this as you don’t want to get half way through the puzzle and realise that the pieces won’t fit together as they should.  

These puzzles are suitable for anyone aged 10 and over and even younger children can help out too. They make for a fantastic gift for anyone wanting a different type of puzzle and once complete they look great on display.
