My Must-Have Items From Femmeluxe

If you’re a regular visitor to My Three and Me you will know that for the last few years I have been busy trying to exercise and have had my mind set on losing a fair bit of weight. It’s been a long journey and at one point I even hit my target weight of 9st 5lbs, unfortunately, I let all the bad habits creep back in and the weight started to pile back on especially as I stopped exercising. This time though I plan to lose the weight and keep it off.

My overall goal is to lose 3.5 stone but at the minute I’m just happy when the scales show that I’ve had a loss. I’m a little annoyed at the minute as the weight loss is on the stubborn side and the weight seems to be staying put. I am eating better and watching what I’m eating too so I’m not sure why the weight is staying put but I will persevere and keep everything crossed that the sacrifices I’m making will eventually pay off.

That being said, the tape measure is a wonderful tool and I’m really happy it’s showing that I’m starting to lose inches – so even if I don’t lose weight quickly I am toning up which isn’t a bad thing at all as I definitely have areas that need toning – hello bingo wings and muffin top.

Exercising on the other hand is a different matter and after a few (ok many) false starts over the past couple of years I am finally beginning to actually enjoy doing my daily workouts and have managed to exercise for at least 3 – 4 days every week for the last 8 weeks. I have been using the couch to 5k running app three times a week and Boxing Fitness on the Switch which is lots of fun.

I intend to up this in the coming weeks and have even bought ankle and wrist weights to give me a little extra resistance. I know it’s a marathon and not a sprint race but I am determined to actually win this time. So many times in the past I have given up even before seeing any results.

For the last few months, I have also been sharing all the things that My Three and Me have been loving. One brand that I keep mentioning is Femmeluxe. They have been sending me lovely items each month and this month is no different.

loungewear set from Femmeluxe in light blue

This month I have chosen garments that are perfect for the next couple of months. I chose a lovely loungewear set that has BuffaloCity New York written on the back. It is the most beautiful blue and is perfect for my lazy rest days where I bake with the kids, watch TV or read my book. At the minute I am reading The World At My Feet by Catherine Isaac and although it took me a little time to get into the story I am really enjoying it.

Jean shorts from Femmeluxe

The next item I chose this month was a pair of high waisted shorts. Only the other week were we in the middle of a mini-heatwave and having a barbecue in the garden. The weather has been so unpredictable lately as we had snow only a few days later but I wanted to be prepared for the next batch of nice days we have as I was roasting in jeans and leggings as I had no jeans in my wardrobe. These will be perfect for summer days in the garden and hopefully family days out.

Black peplum top from Femmeluxe

Lastly, I chose a black Peplum top. It’s comfy to wear and look lovely with the shorts I’ve just mentioned or teamed with a pair of jeans and ballet pumps for a casual drink with friends – which is high up on my list of things to do once my best friend has had her baby later in the year. Until then we are planning lots of shopping trips and trips to the cinema once they reopen in the coming months.

I plan to add at least one more pair of shorts and even a skirt or two to my summer wardrobe this year maybe even a summer dress might make its way in there too who knows.

How are you planning to style your wardrobe this summer? I’d love to hear about your must-have / go-to spring / summer items in the comments below.
