What's on our plate

June Degustabox Review

I love getting my monthly box of treats from Degustabox. Every month for the last few months we have been sent a box of yummy things. Each box comes well packed and delivered straight to our door via courier. The day before our parcel arrives we are sent a text message and email to say it’s on its way. The morning our parcel arrives we are sent a time slot for when to expect it.

Inside this months box we received:
2 Be Fast Breakfast shakes. Perfect for those who are always on the go. These shakes are high in fibre, a source of protein and are low in fat. At £1 each they are the ideal meal replacement to keep you going until lunch on those days when you don’t have time to make breakfast.

1 container of Veetee microwaveable rice. Ideal for those quick meals such as a stir-fry. It takes as little as 2 minutes in a microwave or wok. Available from Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s for £1.49.

1 packet of Urban Fruit Pineapple. Each packet contains fruit that has been gently backed. They are perfect on the go snack and great for lunch boxes and picnics too. Each bag is priced at £1.09 and available in 3 varieties – strawberry, mango and pineapple.

1 box of Bear Alphabites cereals. Alphabites are crunchy letter shaped cereals. They contain no refined sugar, no salt and no added anything else either. Coconut Blossom nectar is used to make them naturally sweet and crunchy. At £2.69 a box, they are a great healthy way to start the day.

1 can of Estrella Damm. An authentic imported pale Spanish lager – known as the Beer of Barcelona. I’m not a huge lager drinker, in fact, I can’t remember the last time I drank any but Matthew enjoyed it when we had a barbecue at the weekend whilst watching the F1. Priced at £4 so a little pricey but ok if you are wanting a treat now and then.

1 Dr Oetker Madagascan Vanilla Grinder. Each grinder contains Madagascan Vanilla Pods. The grinder is easy to use and you can have either fine or coarse shavings. This can be used to add to drinks, cakes or desserts. You can find the grinder in most supermarkets priced at £4.99.

1 box of Elizabeth Shaw Flutes. We received a box of these last month too and I absolutely loved them – they will definitely be a feature at our wedding. Each box is priced at £2.59. This month we received the Amaretto flavoured flutes. They taste similar to Marzipan or the alcoholic drink but contain no nuts or alcohol. I have to say they were very nice and perfect for a little indulgent treat.

1 bottle of Strawberry Lambrini. Perfect to enjoy on a Summer’s evening relaxing in the garden or whilst having a barbecue. I found this drink really refreshing and it tasted delicious. Each bottle is priced around £3.29

Degustabox is a monthly subscription service. You pay £12.99 (this includes delivery) and each month you will receive a box of 10 – 15 surprise food products – some of which are new products. The value of items in your box will always be more than what you have paid. The value of all the products in my box this month was £20. However, if you aren’t happy with the service and you wish to cancel your subscription you can do so at any time as you are under no obligation to buy more boxes than you want too.
If you would like to try Degustabox for yourself, My Three and Me have been given a code for you to use. It will give you £3.00 off your first box. Simply enter 9VMWQ at the checkout.  For more information, you can check out Degustabox on Facebook and Twitter too.
We will be reviewing Degustabox again next month. I can’t wait to see what surprises await us in our next box.
