To celebrate the  upcoming release of the new Captain America Civil War film Disney Store sent My Three an Iron Man costume to review. My Three are huge fans of all the Avengers and the films and can’t wait to see this latest addition to the popular film franchise. James is a huge Iron Man fan and was so excited when he saw his new costume.

The Iron Man costume is an all-in-one outfit, it comes complete with a plastic mask and gloves. The costume (£30.95) fastens at the back with Velcro for easy opening and closing. It is made from 100% polyester and as you can see from the photo below it had a padded chest and arms. It is very detailed and looks exactly like you’d expect an Iron Man costume to look.

The costume is available in ages 3, 4, 5 – 6, 7 – 8 and 9 – 10 years. We asked for a size 7 – 8 costume to be sent so that both Nathan and James would be able to wear the costume and they are both of a similar height, James is quite tall for his age (he’s 7 next month) as you can see the costume is a generous fit and will last him for quite a while. I hate when you buy costumes and they are a small fit as you don’t get lots of wear out of the costume before it’s too small and this can be really annoying when you’ve paid a high price for it.

The Iron Man has a light-up feature on the chest, this is a great addition to the costume and looks great. I love that the mask is made from a soft material and is detachable from the front of the helmet piece – James is one of those children who will wear a mask for a little while before complaining that he can’t see or is too hot, with this mask this isn’t the case as the front bit lifts up – just like Iron Man’s does.
