Together Forever….

Matthew and I are coming up to our 10 year anniversary at the beginning of February. It doesn’t seem like two minutes since we met each other for the first time in a pub in Scarborough thanks to one of my best friends – we have a lot to thank her for.

So what have we achieved in 10 years? We’ve extended our family by two (well six if you include the two dogs, tortoise, and cat), we’ve moved house and we’re planning to do so again in the next year or so as we’re getting itchy feet and would like to be a little closer to family members, and we’ve actually started planning our wedding – even if we did just start properly planning this within the last few months.

Matthew is my best friend, my soul mate, and the love of my life. Yes, we argue (not often, mind you), but who doesn’t? We are each other’s sanctuary and sounding board, and we have been known to finish off each other’s sentences once or twice too. We really are a great match. We share hobbies, and as we’re huge F1 fans, we’re hoping to go to a race this summer and another for our honeymoon. As for our wedding, we’re planning either a really big get together with all our family and friends or just the two of us eloping to Vegas and getting married by Elvis – this at the moment is more appealing to me as it means time to ourselves and then a big party when we get home with all our family and friends. Plus, we might catch one of the fantastic Vegas comedy shows from this list: https://vegaslens.com/comedy-shows-in-las-vegas/. Who wouldn’t want to get wed by the King and enjoy some hilarious comedy in Vegas?

Would I change anything about the last 10 years? Not on your life. I have achieved everything I’ve wanted to and more, plus I have lots more to look forward to as well.
