Theme Parks To Visit This Halloween

Last year Halloween was pretty much cancelled. Everyone was in lockdown and they were unable to go to events, attractions were closed and little ones were unable to go trick or treating. This year I think families will be making up for it and planning to make the most out of the spookiest time of year. If you are looking for a place to visit with children of all ages My Three and Me have a few suggestions for you.

Something for everyone

Many theme parks open over the Halloween period to give visitors the fright of their lives. If you are considering taking your family to a theme park this year why not consider visiting one of the following:

Alton Towers Scarefest

There really is something for all the family to enjoy this Halloween at Alton Towers. Visit between 8th – 10th and 15th – 31st Oct until 9 pm each day for some spooky fun.

Older visitors will be able to ride all the big attractions and take a trip through the free and interactive Garden Lights Walk: Whispering Souls if that is too tame why not take a visit to the award-winning mazes that are set to make a return this year. New for 2021 is Trick o’ Treat Town, an interactive walkthrough town where every day is Halloween – there will be lots of treats and many tricks to keep visitors on their toes! Please note that there are additional charges for scare maze entry and Trick O’ Treat Town.

If you are visiting with younger family members you can enjoy live shows including the CBeebies Monster Ball and the Freaky Fun Zone characters and shows.

Thorpe Park Fright Nights

Taking place on 8th – 10th and 15th – 31st Oct visitors are able to visit Thorpe Park and ride the rollercoasters in the dark of night. Returning for its 20th year this year like years gone by is going to scare anyone who dares to visit. Visitors can ride the rollercoasters and take a walk through the utterly terrifying scare zones and scare mazes. Scare nights are recommended for visitors aged 13 and over. There is an additional fee to visit the scare mazes.

Flamingoland

From 9th – 31st October visit Flamingoland if you dare. They have a range of activities on offer to suit visitors of all ages including shows and fireworks displays. From 10 am until Twilight daily park admission prices are as standard and includes access to the firework display. If you can’t make a full day you can purchase evening only tickets (from 4 pm) for £10 per person which include access to the last hour of rides (until 5 PM), a selection of Twilight Rides for Kids, access to the daily ‘Wonderland’ Show and fireworks displays (on selected dates).

If being scared is your thing the park’s popular ‘Stalk in the Park’ is back and it’s spookier than ever. They have slots available from 6.30 pm – 9.30 pm for just £15 per person. Stalk in the park is available to guests of all ages but participation is at parents/guardians discretion and control due to the scary storylines and ‘jump scares’ throughout.

Legoland Brick or Treat

Visit Legoland this October Half Term (14th – 31st October) for a fun-filled day out. Lord Vampyre invites Lego fans young and old to Brick or Treat for Halloween. Legoland will be transformed into a pumpkin-filled wonderland which is sure to be a frightfully fun event.

Have you been to a Halloween event in the past or are you planning on visiting a theme park this year? if so I’d love to hear about it in the comments below
