How to Choose the Right Vaginal Dilator Size

Different sizes of vaginal dilators are available to help women who suffer from vaginal and pelvic floor tightness, which can cause pain with intercourse. Dilators are also used to help women with other pelvic pain disorders such as Vaginismus, Vulvodynia, Endometriosis, Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause and MRKH syndrome. Dilators come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials. The different sizes allow each woman to be successful no matter what stage she is starting at.

It is important to always start with the largest dilator that you can comfortably insert and progressively work up to larger sizes. That is why most women will benefit from a set of four progressively sized vaginal dilators. The goal for many women is to be able to accommodate the size of their partner. For women with pelvic pain conditions, a pelvic floor therapist or doctor may recommend only one or two sizes. Dilators that are too large can cause pain or discomfort during use, so it’s important to choose the right size for your needs.

As such If you are looking for an easy way to increase your vaginal length, it is recommended to choose a dilator that is the correct size for you. There are many vaginal dilators on the market, so it can be hard to know which one is right for you. This article will give you some tips to help you choose the right size of vaginal dilator for you.

The Different Vaginal Dilator Sizes

There are many different vaginal dilator sizes on the market as well as set sizes.

Size 1 is the smallest and size 8 is the largest. Most women will not need the two largest sizes ( seven and eight) unless their partner is quite large. Many post-menopausal women may find that sizes 3,4,5,6, will be most helpful. The smaller sizes are helpful to women suffering from vaginismus, or the effects of radiation cancer treatment. Dilators can be used for both women who have never had children and those who have had children.

Sizing is important because not all dilators are created equal. You want to make sure that you are using the correct size that so that it doesn’t cause any discomfort or pain. American-made dilators are always the best choice and silicone vaginal dilators are the most comfortable as they resemble body tissue.

How to Choose the Right Vaginal Dilator Size

There are a few things you should keep in mind when choosing the right vaginal dilator size: your vagina’s circumference, the diameter of the dilator, your comfort level, and how often you will use the dilator. Each woman’s anatomy is unique and therefore the perfect dilator size for one woman may not be the right size for another. You should measure your vaginal opening with a ruler or a piece of string, and then choose a dilator that is no more than two inches larger than the measurement.

Remember to use lubricant and avoid overusing the dilator; only use it when necessary. Finally, take regular breaks in order to allow your muscles to relax and avoid injury.

Using the correct size dilator will ensure a comfortable and successful vaginal stretching experience.
