Halloween Fun
Halloween is just around the corner and My Three have been busy getting ready. They have decided on the costumes they want to dress up in so now the final little touches like decorating the house, the food they want to eat and the treats they want to give out to the Trick or Treaters who will be sure to visit us need to be finalised. Below are a few of the things we will be doing / using this Halloween.
Halloween Decorations
If you ever visit our house you will see that we have candles everywhere, I love nothing better than being able to relax with a glass of wine, the lights dimmed, my favourite programmes on the TV, or my kindle and a candle or two burning. I especially love having my Yankee Candle burning as their candles and burners always help with my relaxing. This Halloween they have a range of burners and candles that are sure to go down a treat. As with all Yankee Candles you get a great consistent fragrance, a medium size jar burns for between 60 and 90 hours. I love the Yankee Candle Candy Corn scented candle as it smells of sweets when lit – perfect to set the scene of any Halloween get together – it would even fit in well as the jar is decorated with a Halloween picture on the front.
If on the other hand you’d like to have child-friendly candles on display this Halloween you can make your own spooky looking lanterns using LED Tealights. The lanterns are fun, cheap and very easy to create. All you need is a few jam jars, toilet tissue, pens, sticky tape and LED Tealights. You simply wrap your toilet tissue around the jam jars, decorate them with the pens – you can add anything you’d like and then secure the tissue in place with the sticky tape, place a tealight in the bottom of the decorated jam jar and voilà… your lanterns are ready.

Halloween Treats
Every year we get hoards of Trick or Treaters at our door so we always make sure we have a good supply of sweets and treats to hand out. Cadbury is a firm favourite in our family especially the multi bags of treat size chocolates. They are perfect for an afternoon snack and are the ideal size to hand out to trick or treaters. You can buy packs of treats that are full of the same chocolates our favourites are buttons and crunchies or you can buy a back that has lots of assorted treats in. Matthew loves Cream Eggs and he was so pleased to see the limited edition Scream Eggs had made an appearance this year.
If you’re looking for a something to store all your Halloween Treats in, then you could consider something like a Glass Skull Bowl. It holds a fair few treats and looks great sat as a table centrepiece. The bowl would be perfect for crisps, popcorn, sweets or maybe even a cocktail. You could also use it at any time of the year, not just Halloween.
