Five Ways A Projector Can Be Used Within Your Home

Long gone are the days when projectors are used just in school and offices. Some people are adding them to their homes for a variety of reasons, some are for long-term use others just occasional such as for a party or family get together. You could use a projector in your home in a number of ways including:

To Save Space

Modern houses can be quite small so if you find that you don’t have the room for a TV a projector would make a great replacement. All you need is a place for your projector to sit and a flat blank wall or a screen that can be pulled down when in use and put away when not needed.

To Settle Children

When my little brother was younger he had a special projector that you wound up. It played lullabies and projected images (I think it was cute little nursery rhyme characters, stars and moon shapes) on his bedroom ceiling. He used to love being placed in his cot and left to drift off to sleep with the music and images. Nowadays (how old do I sound?) there are still many projectors for children some project realistic stars and there’s even a Minion themed one out there too.

For Entertainment

There are many ways you could make use of your projector when it comes to entertaining your family and friends including:

• Cinema Night – Dim the lights, grab the drinks and snacks and hit the couch with your favourite films. A projector will give you the perfect atmosphere to have a movie night at home with your family. Also perfect for date night too.
• Puppet Shows – Entertain the kids on rainy days with shadow puppets. You could be the main event or you could even get them to help out too so that you can all create an awesome show.
• Birthdays/Halloween/Christmas/ Themed Party – When you are hosting a family event why not use your projector to project images that are relevant to the event, if you are hosting a party you can continuously project themed images whilst everyone is dancing, playing games or just enjoying each other’s companies.
• Slide Shows – If you’re the type of family who loves to get together to share holiday snaps or videos why not use your projector to bring them to a big screen that everyone can see.
