Five Duvet Sets I’m Loving This Winter

Last year we gave our bedroom a makeover. We decorated, replaced the carpet and all our bedroom furniture and bought new bedding and curtains. I love it when a room has a makeover but this is something that we can’t afford to do often (the last time our room was decorated was before we moved in) so to compensate for this I change little things like bedding or the curtains so that it feels like we are having a mini makeover.

I don’t know about you but I can never have enough Duvet Sets (the same can be said for My Three too as they have lots of different sets to choose from too). With a quick switch of my bedding, my room has had a little makeover, which is great when you’re always on a budget but want a little change now and then (well once a week or more in our house).

With this in mind, I’m already thinking of buying a new duvet set ready for the winter – I’m thinking festive, I’m thinking funny, I’m even considering flowers so I’ve something that can be used well into the new year too. Here are my five favourite duvet covers that I’m thinking of purchasing.

Festive – With Christmas just a few weeks away it makes sense to have a festive duvet set if you’re planning on adding something new to your collection. I’d love to add something that either has snowflakes or a festive scene on it. I’ve seen a lovely grey and white snowflake set in Dunelm that I will be searching for at the weekend in our local store.

Funny – I absolutely love ELF (it is one of my favourite Christmas films) and although this Buddy the Elf bedding is technically a festive cover it is also funny especially as my side of the bed is the side where the body is. This cover is reversible too. I also spotted a cover that had two elves on it and you guessed it the girl side was actually on Matthew’s side of the bed. I don’t think this would be a good cover for our room though as I wouldn’t be able to stop laughing every time Matthew got into bed.

Traditional – When I say traditional what I mean is plain or slight patterned duvet sets. You can’t go wrong with this type as there’s usually plenty of choices both on the high street and online.

Floral – I am loving quirky floral patterns at the minute and would seriously consider adding a floral covering to my collection. It’s a great way to add a pop of colour to a room without adding too much if you know what I mean. If you’re looking for cheap duvet covers at a great discount check out Yorkshire Linen’s duvet cover sale. Where you will find many, many duvet covers at affordable prices.

Cute – If I had my way I would have a duvet cover that was all Disney. If you’re thinking Beauty and the Beast, Lilo and Stitch, Micky and Minnie Mouse you’d be right. I love a bit of Disney and I can’t wait to go to the massive Disney Store in New York when I go. But Matthew isn’t a fan and has said there is no way that I’m allowed them on our bed. It’s times like this when I wished I had a little girl, instead, I just buy them for my nieces instead much to the amusement of both my brother and Matthew.

I’m so undecided as to which one to choose so if you have an opinion please tell me in the comments below which one is your favourite.
