Degustabox Review
For the last few months we have been reviewing Degustabox – a subscription service where you are sent a box of food and drink items every month. I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t get a little bit excited when I receive the text message or email saying that my box is on its way. I love the surprises that arrive each month and last months box matched up to previous months expectations.
In this months box we received:
A packet of Oats+Chia (£1.70) from The Chai Co. Oat+Chia are wholegrain oats and chia blended with fruits and coconut oil. You simply need to add water to the oats and they are ready to eat. They have a smooth and creamy texture but without the need for any dairy products. High in Omega 3, fibre and protein, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants makes it the perfect breakfast food.
A box of Clean Green Tea (£2.39) from Pukka Herbs. The tea is a fair trade product and is sure to give you a clean start to the new year with tastes of Sicillian Lemons and dandelion root they are a sure way to start your post Christmas detox.
A Kent’s Kitchen Meal Kit (£2.50) In 3 simple steps you can make a delicious authentic meal. Each kit contains 3 pots, all you need to add are a few fresh ingredients. You can store the kit in your cupboard until needed.
Two packets of Choco Leibniz (£1.78 each) from Bahlsen. Each pack contains butter biscuits wrapped in delicious thick chocolate and caramel. What I love about these biscuits is that there is more chocolate on them than biscuit. They are delicious with a cup of tea. Available from Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and other supermarkets.
A bottle of Eisberg Alcohol Free Wine (£3.49). Made in exactly the same way as alcoholic wine just with the alcohol removed a bottle of Eisberg is the perfect tipple if you’re planning on having a alcohol free January. Available in Chardonnay, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling.
A bottle of Frylight Infuse Chilli Oil (£2.00). Perfect for using with vegetables and meat the Frylight takes away the use of messy oils and chopping chillies. You simply spray the Frylight into your pan and cook – you can add more spray to increase the flavour throughout the cooking process. Available from Tesco.
A packet of Popchips (£1.79). Popchips are popped with heat and pressure to make a naturally delicious crisp with all the flavour and less than half the fat of fried crisps, fewer calories and no fake colours or flavours either. Each serving has less than 100 calories. There are 5 different varieties available.
Four cans of Gloworm Mixers (£1.50 each). Gloworm is the first of it’s kind. Each drink is specifically blended to compliment a selection of spirits. Available in four flavours – Raspberry & Orris for Vodka, Cucumber & Apple for Gin, Pear, Spice & Lime for Rum and Ginger & Lemongrass for Bourbon. All four flavours are sugar and taurine free.
One Jar of Bonne Maman Course Orange Marmalade (£2.30). This marmalade is made with thick, fresh zingy orange shreds so that you get a full taste when spread on your toast. Perfect for spreading on your morning toast or using in your favourite sweet or savoury orange dish.
Degustabox costs pay £12.99 a month (this includes delivery) and each month you will receive a box of 9 – 14 surprise food products – some of which are new products. The value of items in your box will always be more than what you have paid. The value of all the products in my box this month was in excess of £20. However, if you aren’t happy with the service and you wish to cancel your subscription you can do so at any time as you are under no obligation to buy more boxes than you want too.
We will be reviewing Degustabox again next month. I can’t wait to see what surprises awaits us in our next box.
