OXO Good Grips Cooking Utensils
I’m not the greatest cook although I do enjoy creating things in the kitchen. But just because I’m a little bit rubbish with all things culinary doesn’t mean I don’t like having nice utensils in the kitchen to play with and lets face it the more I practice the better I will get. Recently we were sent two products from OXO’s Good Grips range. We were sent a Batter Bowl and a Silicone Whisk.
The OXO Batter Bowl is ideal to measure, add, mix and pour ingredients for pancakes, muffins, cakes and many other things. When we recently made omelettes we used the bowl and it made it a lot easier to mix the ingredients up and to pour the mixture into the frying pan.
The bright red, permanent measurement markings are easy to read, even when you are making thick mixtures. I love that the bowl has a soft, comfortable grip so that your hand doesn’t feel uncomfortable while mixing and pouring. Another thing I love about the bowl is that it has high side walls to prevent splattering and it’s wide lip and pour spout makes for easy, drip-free pouring. The Batter Bowl has a very generous capacity of 8 cups/2 litres – so you can make lots of muffins, pancakes or Yorkshire puddings. The bowl is dishwasher safe so once you have finished making you mixtures you can clean it easily. It measures 19.5cm x 25cm x 14.5cm and weighs 419g. The OXO Good Grips 11” Silicone Balloon Whisk is made from heat resistant silicone. It can be used in heat up to 600oF/315oC. It has a teardrop shaped handle that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. The soft handle won’t slip out of your hand, even when they are wet. The whisk can be used to beat eggs, stir batter, whip cream and stir sauces. The Silicone will not discolour, warp or melt and is safe for non-stick, ceramic and metal cookware. Like the bowl it is dishwasher safe too. You can purchase the whisk for £10.
Overall I really enjoyed using these products. They made baking / cooking so much easier as they didn’t slide out of my hands and I could hold them comfortably.
