snowy / icy scene in winter

Winter Coats For All The Family From Go Outdoors

My Three have been back at school just over 3 weeks and up until now, the weather has been on the mild side. So mild you would think it was still summer rather than the start of autumn, that was until a few days ago when the weather decided to change. It would seem that the cold, wet and damp weather is here to stay (although what do we expect when we’re now in the last few days of September).

Luckily we’ve had our winter coats close to hand on our coat stand so when we needed them this morning on the school run it wasn’t a mad scramble to hunt them out of the wardrobes or a quick trip to the shops after school tonight to prepare us for the worsening weather that is most definitely on the way – bring on the snow I say. If you’re looking for a new winter coat this year then Go Outdoors have a huge range available for all the family. Below I have picked a coat that is perfect for each family member.

For Dad:

The North Ridge’s Meltwater Endurance jacket is a highly adaptable waterproof jacket that can be worn throughout the year and will keep its wearer warm and dry. It is designed to cope with the ever changeable British climate. It is cleverly designed with internal zips that allow you to be able to zip in a compatible mid layer (which is sold separately) when the cold weather arrives.

For Mum:

The Schima Jacket from Regatta combines a timeless style with a range of practical features. it is the perfect coat for all of mum’s outdoor pursuits. It will keep her warm on those cold winter morning walks to school or those late afternoon walks with the dogs not to mention those walks through the woods looking for conkers with the little ones. The coat has a classic faux-fur lined detachable hood and is made from a waterproof Hydrafort peached polyester fabric and Thermo-Guard insulation.

For The Children:

A Hi Gear Trent Children’s 3-in-1 Jacket* will give your child the protection they need, whenever they need it – whether it’s on the school run or out on a country walk at the weekend. The coat’s outer waterproof shell is designed to withstand a heavy downpour, and the removable fleece will keep a child warm in the cold. The fleece can be worn as a light jacket on a warm evening, and you can securely zip it into the waterproof shell easily enough for those cold, wet days. It is available in a variety of colours and is suitable for both boys and girls. Also available is the Men’s version – Hi Gear Trent Men’s 3-in-1 Jacket and a Women’s version – Hi Gear Trent Women’s 3-in-1 Jacket.

Go Outdoors has a massive range of coats both in-store and online. They stock a huge range of specialist coats and jackets so if you’re a fell walker or an angler or just a mum who wants to keep warm on the way to school there will be a coat to suit your needs and from as little as £15.00 too.
