Four Helpful Ways to Chill Out and Subdue Pre-Wedding Jitters

Of the many milestones in our lifetime, planning a wedding can be one of the most rewarding — and stressful. Society has built up this day to be one of the most important and magical days in a woman’s life. There is so much pressure for the wedding to be perfect and this causes stress to build, not to mention many sleepless nights during the planning stage. This article will give you four ideas of how to subdue those pre-wedding jitters so you can chill out and enjoy the wedding planning process.

1. Don’t Go It Alone

This may seem like a no-brainer, but having a wedding planner to help is going to save you a lot of time, energy, and stress. If you are the type to get overwhelmed with making too many decisions at one time, do not attempt to plan your wedding alone. It doesn’t make sense to spend many months stressed out — and possibly make yourself sick — to save a few pounds. Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. If you can’t afford a wedding planner, then enlist some of your closest friends or your wedding party to take a few tasks off your hands. You won’t regret having help and remember — you have nothing to prove to anyone.

2. Incorporate CBD into Your Wellness Routine

If planning your wedding is keeping you up at night because your mind continues to go round and round, try CBD oil before bed. CBD is known for its ability to calm down the endocannabinoid system, which controls things like mood, appetite, and immune function. With 67% of people in the UK suffering from sleepless nights, it seems like we could all benefit from trying a natural remedy like CBD. CBD oil and capsules are best for sleep, as they release CBD slowly into your system. For quick relaxation when feeling overwhelmed, have a CBD vape pen handy. Vaping is the fastest way to experience CBD’s calming effect because it hits the bloodstream faster than other methods of consuming CBD. Your mileage may vary and you’ll need to play around a bit to find the right dosage for you.

3.  Keep Some Perspective

Your wedding is just one day of the rest of your life with your partner. The most important thing about it is the celebration of your relationship and the special bond that you and your partner share. Don’t let the planning of the wedding ruin your relationship. Keep the focus on building your partnership and talk things out as soon as issues and disagreements arise. Don’t let resentments build. If things are getting a little heated between the two of you, consider getting couples counselling to help you through. Or maybe you need a new activity or date night to blow off steam.

4. Don’t Forget about Self-Care

We know that self-care is a total buzzword right now, but there’s a good reason. Women on average spend less on their well-being because they put other people first – and feel guilty for spending time and money on themselves. But not every type of self-care takes money! There are free meditation apps and yoga classes on YouTube, or you may find that reading for thirty minutes a few times a week relaxes you. Or, perhaps a 10-minute dance party each day brings you joy — or maybe a splurge with a day at the spa. Whatever you choose, a little downtime for yourself, doing something you love is crucial during stressful times.
