I don’t often wear dresses but over the next few months, we are going to be really busy attending quite a few social events and pretty much all of them require a frock to be worn. So far on the list, we have one wedding, one christening, a day at the races and hopefully lots of little family days out planned and this is all just for starters who knows what else we will be invited to. Obviously, we are hoping to be married by this time next year in New York so I will obviously have an amazing dress to wear then too and I can’t wait.
I have been looking online and there are so many beautiful dresses to choose from, so many that I really will be spoilt for choice. I am thinking of buying a couple of my dresses from Esprit, as they have some gorgeous designs at the moment. Here are my favourite four dresses.
1. Flower Print Dress
This dress is perfect for the christening we will be attending in August. I love how bright the colours are. The shape of the dress is perfect for those who have little areas they want to hide without being shapeless – since having the boys my body has changed so much and even 9 years later I am very conscious of how my stomach looks and would never consider wearing something that is too tight as I am very self-conscious of my stomach area.
2. Cut Out Dress
This dress would be perfect for our day at the races or the wedding we are due to attend in early September. Again it would hide my stomach area nicely as it’s not tight fitted. I love the pattern and I think it would look lovely with a pair of heels.
3. Shift Dress
I love every single thing about this dress and if I was in proportion I would be buying it right now, however, a few months in the gym and I’m sure this would be a different story (note to self – get back to the exercise and diet). I am a huge fan of floral lace as I think it looks lovely for any occasion and I would certainly be looking at something like this to wear to a wedding, christening or day at the races.
4. Lightweight Printed Dress
I absolutely adore this dress. I would wear it on visits to the coast or even just for everyday wear. It is casual enough to wear with a pair of sandals or even canvas pumps. I am guilty of living most of the summer in my shorts but I’d love to change that and think this dress would be perfect for doing just that.
Have you any big occasions planned this year? If so what are you going to wear?
