When planning their wedding, many couples also plan and book their honeymoon at the same time so that they can get away and refresh themselves after the months and months of stress they’ve just endured. The world is a pretty big place and there are so many places to visit. Some places are perfect for visiting often and others are so special that they are the ones to be saved up for on a special occasion. As it’s your honeymoon it’s your choice where you go and what you do whilst there but if you’re looking for an exotic honeymoon location I have five places you just might want to consider.
Bali has something for everyone, white sandy beaches, forest-covered volcanoes and a beautiful sea that is perfect for water sports, scuba diving and surfing. It is the perfect place to unwind or seek adventure, the choice is yours.
For those who like a little luxury in their life, Dubai is definitely the place for you. With multiple shopping malls, you will be spoilt for places to shop. Why not visit the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo which is home to over 33000 aquatic animals and the worlds biggest collection of sand tiger sharks. If you have a thing for heights why not take a trip to see the worlds tallest building Burj Khalifa- you can visit the worlds highest observation point which is at a dizzying height of 55m (or the 148th floor) to take in the amazing views or you may prefer to visit the double observation deck on the 124th/125th floors. Thailand is known for its opulence of tropical beaches, royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples. It is a place that is full of culture and is the perfect place for those who love to discover new things. Thailand is also popular with backpackers and those seeking full moon parties so there’s definitely lots of different things to see and do depending on what you want from your visit.
The Maldives is a place of paradise. It too offers white sandy beaches and calm tranquil seas. Many resorts have private villas that are jettisoned out in the beautiful sea. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy and you’ll be able to go swimming, snorkelling or diving if you wish. There’s plenty to see and do if relaxing isn’t your thing perhaps a spot of night fishing, or a sunset champagne cruise or even go underwater in a whale submarine. If conservation is top of your agenda you can help to preserve the island’s ecosystems by joining in with a coral-planting session or you could even plant a coconut palm tree.
Bora Bora is the definition of paradise. The island is surrounded by a beautiful blue seas and coral reefs. Newlyweds staying here will arrive by plane and transferred to their resort by boat. Bora Bora is known for its glass-floored sea bungalows. Although there is plenty to see and do most couples spend most of their time relaxing on their private decks and ordering room service that is delivered via an outrigger canoe. It sounds like my ideal place to stay and if money wasn’t a factor would certainly be on the top of my list.
