The Easter holidays are almost upon us. I don’t know about you but I find them the most frustrating out of all the school holidays – the weather is always hit and miss and it is the first bank holiday of the year so everyone has the same idea about taking the kids out for the day so everywhere you visit is always busy. This Easter My Three will have almost three weeks off school – that’s a lot of time to try and keep them busy and if we plan on doing activities every day it will also be a very expensive three weeks too. If like us you are planning a busy few weeks but are a little short on funds I have a few ideas where you can make some extra savings.
Discounts – If you are planning to buy something this school holiday, make sure you search dealsdaddy first. Simply search the store you are planning to buy your item from to see if they have a code that could save you some money on your purchase. If you are planning a day during the holidays look out for buy one get one free vouchers, discounted entry prices and early booking discounts as they can all help when you have a big family.
Freebies – Everyone loves a freebie, so why not take advantage of all the kids free stuff that’s available. You can find things to print off and make, free samples and much more online and in magazines, so keep an eye out
Cashback – Sites like TopCashback and Quidco are great websites to look at when making a big purchase. They give you cash back on purchases such as phone contracts, insurance, holidays and household appliances. It is always worth a search before buying these items to see if you can grab yourself some free money.
Enter Competitions – Although not a guaranteed way of earning extra money or winning prizes, entering competitions in your spare time is a great way to get some of those things you’d like but can’t justify or afford to buy. I used to enter lots of competitions up until recently and won some great prizes including £1000 to spend at Tesco, my wedding dress, two mini cruises to Amsterdam, £100 Dorothy perkins, an iPad Mini, a mobile phone voucher and much, much, more.
Surveys – Completing surveys on sites such as Swagbucks and Instagc can help you to save up points which can then be turned into gift cards/vouchers or paid in cash via PayPal. There is no quick way to make the points up but if you are happy to spend a couple of hours a day they soon add up. I will write an in-depth post soon to show you the best ways to earn points on some of these sites. You can save up your gift cards and use them at Christmas and birthdays as I do or save any money that you make in your PayPal Account for a special day out or occasion.
I hope the above ideas help, remember not all of them will be instant payouts but by entering surveys, looking for discounts and freebies it will all add up eventually.
