Now that winter is here it’s very important that you and your little ones start your day off the right way. I always ensure that the boys have breakfast before they leave the house to ensure that they get the best possible start to their day.
When the weather is milder they usually have cereal or toast but now that the colder months have set in I try to ensure that they have something that is a little warmer. On a weekend we like to have porridge – we love it with a variety of extras but my favourite is a little cream, blueberries or jam but during the week when we are in a mad dash to get to school and work on time we try to have a bowl of Ready Brek or warm toast with marmalade.
Recently we were sent some Ready Brek to enjoy, and enjoy it we did. James can be seen here eating it with a little golden syrup. On the box, there is a competition to coincide with the release of Despicable Me 3 on DVD and Blu-ray. There’s a chance to win a prize an hour during the promotional period.
Last weekend we watched the DVD and as a huge fan of the previous movies, I have to say the latest instalment was just as good and didn’t disappoint.
“After he is fired from the Anti-Villain League for failing to take down the latest bad guy to threaten humanity, Gru finds himself in the midst of a major identity crisis. But when a mysterious stranger shows up to inform Gru that he has a long-lost twin brother – a brother who desperately wishes to follow in his twin’s despicable footsteps—one former super-villain will rediscover just how good it feels to be bad.Steve Carell not only reprises his role as Gru, but also takes on a second part—that of Dru, Gru’s long-lost twin. Kristen Wiig returns as super-spy Lucy, while Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Trey Parker voices new villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who has become obsessed with the evil TV character he played in the ’80s. Gru’s most formidable and comedic nemesis to date, Bratt is out to take down Hollywood…and anyone who stands in his way”.
If you’re a fan of Gru and the Minions and you’re yet to check it out you really need to watch the film. I promise you it’s worth it. As a child from the 80’s I loved all the references that were being dished out. They made both Matthew and I laugh a lot – the boys not so much but then that’s how they get us adults sucked in isn’t it – jokes that the children won’t understand but the adults do – they’re great in my opinion.
Alongside the promotional packs of Ready Brek and the DVD release, there has been a new range of toys available to purchase. They are sure to be a big hit this Christmas with Minion fans. We love this Minion tin and mini figures. The collectable tin includes one exclusive figure and one Mineez figure. There are 75 figures to collect and are perfect for any Minion fan.
