The sun is shining and it looks like summer is trying to make an appearance – finally!!! I love summer. What’s not to love? barbeques, days on the beach and lots of lazy weekends reading in the garden listening to my endless playlist of music. When I first started the Tracks of My Years Series I wrote about the songs that I love and the ones that hold some great memories for me. Over the week’s bloggers have shared their tracks too and they have loved their walks down memory lane.
For this week’s tracks, I thought I would share some of the cheesier songs that I loved – and possibly still do (please don’t judge me or my taste in “great” music) as most of them are still on my playlists and are listened to often. Some of them I have found recently too so I guess there’s no hope for some of my musical tastes.
Kylie Minogue – I Should Be So Lucky
Jason Donavan – Nothing Can Divide Us
Wham – I’m Your Man
Bananarama – I Want You Back
Joe Esposito – You’re The Best
PJ and Duncan – Let’s Get Ready To Rumble
Gareth Gates – Anyone of Us
Darius – Colourblind
Westlife – Bop Bop Baby
Aqua – Cartoon Heroes
Steps – Scared of The Dark
My list could go on and on…. which is somewhat worrying, but on the plus side it would seem I’m not alone in my love of cheesy music Lindy from Lindy Loves told me that she used to love Aaron Carter and his track “I’m Gonna Love You Forever”… Lindy, I have no words about this but looking at my tunes from the above I’m not sure I can comment on your taste either…
Michaela from Adventures Of A Yorkshire Mum had a list of cheesy music as long as her arm – tunes include Spice Girls “Wannabe” and S Club 7 “Reach”. It would seem that Emma Reed is also in competition for who has the cheesiest playlist as she said that “there are far too many to choose from! I’m the queen of cheese lol Anything that I can get up and dance to. Dance action songs are always a must. Steps 5,6,7,8 or the cha-cha slide or Saturday night! Boom shake the room (is that cheese?) I could go on and on here…” but I have to agree who doesn’t like a bit of a cheesy dance song – Reach and Cha Cha Slide was always played on our student nights out and what nights out we used to have…
Cat from Rock and Roll Pussycat was a huge Aqua fan when she was younger – who wasn’t? I used to love them too (as already mentioned above) although I wasn’t aware of the song “Roses are Red”. I’m surprised they haven’t reformed for a Eurovision entry – now that would be amazing!!!
If you’d like to take part in Tracks of My Years, please Contact Us for more details. I have had so much fun on my cheesy tracks playlist and will be bringing you another playlist soon.
