Wicked Uncle Review

Christmas is still a few weeks away but many of us are starting to think about what gifts we are going to buy for family and friends. Sometimes buying the right gift is really easy and other times it can be so hard that you end up going round in circles trying to decide what to buy, especially if you’re buying toys for children which can be a minefield at the best of times. If you have children to buy presents for but you’re not a parent yourself or you don’t have much knowledge as to what is “cool” in the eyes of a child it can be a very daunting task of buying something that is suitable for their age or that they’d like. Let’s face it you don’t want to be known as that auntie, uncle or friend that buys the rubbish presents. This is where Wicked Uncle come in. They take away all that hassle for you.

The Wicked Uncle website is very easy to navigate. It is clearly set out and there’s plenty of toys to choose from. They have a huge range of toys and gifts for both boys and girls of all ages. They sell popular brands of toys including Nerf, Meccano, Horrible Histories and the very sought after Hatchimals too. They even have a few sweet treats available too.

You can refine your gift search by age, gender or by the type of gift you’d like to buy. So if you’re stuck for ideas this will help narrow things down for you.

I really like that Wicked Uncle also offers a gift wrapping service this is perfect if you’re short on time yourself, hate wrapping gifts or if you are having the presents sent directly to the child (they don’t put the invoice inside the box so you don’t need to worry about anyone finding out how much you spent). There is a choice of different gift wraps at a cost of £2.95 for the first gift and £1.50 for all other gifts in the same order. You can select this option during the checkout process and also add a handwritten card for £1.95.

Each order costs just £2.95 for standard delivery which takes 2-3 working days to arrive. If however you need your items sooner you can pay £8.95 express delivery which will arrive the next working day if ordered before 4pm Monday to Friday.

I was very surprised with how quick my order arrived. The items were well packaged and there was no hint as to what was inside the box.

*We were given £40 to spend on the website for the purpose of this post – all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own*
