Degustabox Review

We are already a week into the school holidays and our monthly Degustabox delivery recently landed on our doorstep. Regular readers will know that every month we are sent a box of delicious foods all of which are a surprise. We have no idea what’s inside until we open the box up.

For those of you who don’t know Degustabox is a monthly subscription food box. You pay £12.99 (this includes delivery) and each month you will receive a box of  9 – 14 surprise food products – some of which are new products. The value of items in your box will always be more than what you have paid. However, if you aren’t happy with the service and you wish to cancel your subscription you can do so at any time as you are under no obligation to buy more boxes than you want too.

Inside this months box:

Sarson’s – Balsamic Vinegar, the perfect accompaniment to a salad. Sarson’s Balsamic Vinegar provides a distinctive aroma and has a tangy taste. Liven up your salads or homemade pesto with this vinegar.

Rowntree’s – Fruit Pastilles Infusions, an exciting twist on everyone’s favourite Fruit Pastilles. The pack includes three fusions of flavours – orange & grapefruit, raspberry & pomegranate and apple & elderberry. Made with real fruit juice, with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

ALO Drink – A drink made using real Aloe Vera that is handpicked on ALO’s organic farm. The juice is Non – GMO, gluten-free and fat-free.  This was the first time I have drunk anything like this juice and I thought that it was really refreshing even the lumpy bits didn’t bother me.

Jordans – Swiss Muesli is deliciously light in texture and a blend of wheat flakes, oats, raisins and almonds. Contains no added sugar.

Itsu – Crispy Seaweed Thins are an Asian delicacy that is fast becoming popular here in the UK. Itsu Seaweed Thins are harvested from the crystal clear seas of South Korea. They are naturally packed with zinc, iron B12 and iodine. Each thin contains only 2 calories.

Felix – Gerkins hand picked in Sweden in the late summer. They are prepared using a traditional recipe with vinegar, sugar and spices. Their sweet taste and crunchiness make them the perfect accompaniment to serve with a burger or sandwich. I’m not a fan of gerkins at all but two of the three boys love them and eat then whenever they get the chance.

Bahlsen – Choco Leibniz are now available in snack size portions. Each pack contains two crisp butter biscuits set in smooth chocolate that are wrapped so that they are convenient for eating on the go / eating as part of a packed lunch. Each snack pack contains under 150 calories.

Seabrooks – Lattice Food Heroes focus on all that is good about British Food and Drink. The range champions award winning food producers that focus on high quality and great flavour. We were sent a packet of Three Little Pigs Chorizo flavoured crisps. They are perfect for sharing and eating with dips.

Rejuvenation Water – is specifically designed to deal with the hardships of modern life. Using Derbyshire spring water, natural fruit flavours and unique amino acids. Rejuvenation Water fuels the immune system, builds natural resilience to stress, depression and anxiety and helps your body digest protein.

Cracker Drinks – a natural fruit juice that contains no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. Each serving provides on of your 5 a day and has less than 90 kcals. Even the boys loved the refreshing taste of this juice.

Brookside Chocolates – Exotic fruit and berry flavours blended with smooth dark chocolate. Perfect for sharing (or not) or as a little treat for yourself.
