When My Three are at school they’re only allowed to drink water. I don’t mind this as I know it’s better for them than drinking fizzy pop and fruit squash. But I also know that although they are allowed water bottles in class they don’t often drink and in the past I have had to ask their teachers to make sure that they have a drink as some days they have come home saying that they’ve only had one drink all day – with their lunch – which quite frankly isn’t enough.
BRITA know how important it is for children to drink plenty during their school day and asked us if Callum wanted to take part in their Back To School Hydration Challenge. To be able to take part in the challenge he was sent a Fill&Go water bottle so that he could take it to school with him. The bottle has a special design and ruler which has special markers showing how much water a child should be drinking throughout the day and when.
The aim of the challenge is to highlight the importance of drinking throughout the school day with water. The stickers on the bottle provide a fun way for children to learn about what they should be drinking and when they should be drinking it. The ruler outlines the amount of water that needs to be drunk by their first break, lunch, second break and home time.
Next week I will be sharing with you how Callum got on with his challenge.
