Chemist Direct

A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I’d like to place an order with Chemist Direct. Although I had never heard of them until being contacted I agreed. I wanted to see who they were and what kind of service they had to offer.

I have to admit I am a lover of shopping online. It is so much easier than trying to get to town (plus it saves me so much money). I hate the hussle and bussle of town on most days but especially so in the summer holidays when town is busier than normal and I only venture there when I really have to.
Chemist Direct have over 20,000 health, family, pet and beauty products to offer. You can even order your prescriptions from them too and as they are GPhC registered and a regulated pharmacy you know that the items you are ordering are the real products and not dangerous fake ones.

I ordered a number of items – things that we use on a regular basis and others that we occasionally use and as we were promised a heatwave this August I ordered some new sun cream. I love the Hawaiian Tropic range of creams but have always found them expensive when buying in town. I also treated my hair to some Aussie Long Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Treatment. I have always been a fan of the Aussie range of products but have never seen the long hair products before. I have never seen this range when shopping in town but I do know that you can buy them from other places online. None the less I was so surprised to see that there was a range of products for long hair that I bought one of each in the range. With hair that’s as long as mine you make the most of it when you find a real bargain.

Placing my order was really simple. I like the site layout and found that products were easy to find. The site is really easy to navigate around. Each product has a page of it’s own with a detailed description of the product and a picture too so you know that you are buying the products you want. If your order is over £40 then your order will be delivered for free. My order came to just over £52. I had the choice to pay for my items using a credit / debit card or PayPal. I was emailed my order confirmation and was told to expect my delivery within the next few days. I was emailed 2 days after submitting my order saying that my order would be delayed as an item was currently out of stock. I wasn’t worried about this as I knew we didn’t need any of the items urgently. However just two days later I was emailed again to be told that my items had been despatched. In total it took 7 days for my items to arrive including the delay waiting on items coming back into stock. To me this isn’t a big deal and have waited longer for items in the past to be delivered even when a delay wasn’t there. I really can’t fault Chemist Direct in regards to how my delivery was handled.

I was impressed with the site, the speediness of my delivery and the quality of the products when they arrived. I would certainly use Chemist direct in the future for ordering other items.
