Degustabox Review

Regular readers of My Three and Me will know that every month we are sent a box of delicious foods from Degustabox. Every month the boys and I look forward to our delivery as each box is full of surprise food items and we have no idea what’s inside until we open the box up. I get really excited when I receive an email telling me that my delivery is scheduled as I can’t wait to see what treats await us.
Degustabox is a monthly subscription food box. You pay £12.99 (this includes delivery) and each month you will receive a box of  9 – 14 surprise food products – some of which are new products. The value of items in your box will always be more than what you have paid. However, if you aren’t happy with the service and you wish to cancel your subscription you can do so at any time as you are under no obligation to buy more boxes than you want too. 

Inside This Months Box:

One bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Barbecue Sauce (£2.99). Sweet Baby Ray’s is the number one barbecue sauce in America. It’s a favourite for dipping and marinating meat. It tastes great with a hotdog, burger or rack of ribs. Lets hope that the weather improves soon so we can enjoy a nice barbecue in the garden.

One Marinade in a Bag (£2.19) from Schwartz. Available in one of six flavours (Honey & Soy, Spicy BBQ, Red Wine & Garlic, Brazilian BBQ, Teriyaki and Korean BBQ). Simply place your fish or meat in the bag for 30 minutes and then cook. Makes marinating easy with little preparation, mess or fuss.

Two packs of So StirFry Noodles (£1.49 each) from Maggi. Each packet contains noodles and a seasoning sachet that contains herbs and spices to make a tasty noodle treat that is certain to be a hit with all the family. You simply need to add fresh ingredients such as meat and vegetables to a pan once they are cooked add the noodles after a few minutes more, serve and enjoy.

One box of 9 Bar Fruity (£2.00) snack bars. Each bar is jam packed with sesame, pumpkin & sunflower seeds, dried apricots and dates and topped with carob. They are perfect for snacking whenever you fancy. 

One box of authentic Dutch Stroopwafels (£2.00) made by the Daelmans family bakery. These sweet caramel filled waffles can be enjoyed straight out of the packet or after being slightly warmed over a hot drink (a traditional Dutch way of enjoying the waffles).

One bottle of Sarson’s Balsamic Vinegar (£2.00). Sarson’s have been experts in vinegar for over 200 years so they really know their stuff. This new variety from Modena is perfect for using in recipes such as Pesto or adding to a salad as a dressing.

One Packet of Slim Pasta (£2.49). Made from all natural Konjac flour and oat fibre, Slim Pasta is a low calorie alternative to everyday lasagne. Slim Pasta is gluten, fat, sugar and carbohydrate free and contains only 21 calories per 100g. It’s suitable for coeliacs, diabetics, vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free diets.
One carton of Kid’s Coco Juice with Banana (80p). Produced from young coconuts and bananas that grow near the coconut trees. Each carton contains 200ml and comes with a straw so is ideal for lunchboxes or can be drunk on the go.

One box of Fuel10k Protibrick wheat biscuits (£2.69). The wheat biscuits are designed to increase the amount of protein in a persons diet. They are suitable for those who like to wake early on a morning as they leave you feeling fuller for longer. They are made from 100% wholegrain, are high in fibre, low in sugar and fat and are bigger than average wheat biscuits. They offer a great start to anyone’s day.
