Everyday Is Pancake Day With Abra-ca-Debora

A little while ago we were sent an amazing hamper of goodies from Abra-Ca-Debora pancakes. Inside the hamper  we found a variety of Dutch pancakes and lots of ingredients to make lots of tasty fillings to go inside them. As pancake day is just a day away I thought it was time we showed you some of the delicious pancakes we created.

Abra-Ca-Debora pancakes are ready to use. I know that making your own pancakes doesn’t cost much but the time and effort, plus all the preparation and cleaning up afterwards takes away the fun of making pancakes for me. Whereas if you use Abra-Ca-Debora pancakes there is very little mess,  minimal preparation and next to no clearing up once you’ve finished. I love that they are ready to eat within a matter of seconds and are really easy to warm them using the microwave or oven.

If you’re stuck for ideas you could top your pancakes with some of the following:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Strawberries and cream
  • Cherries and other berries
  • Nutella
  • Nuts and sprinkles
  • Melted chocolate
My favourite topping for a pancake has always been sugar and lemon. It’s so quick and simple to make and you can guarantee we always have a lemon (or lemon juice) and sugar in the house. They make the perfect breakfast, dessert or snack. Nathan liked his pancakes with Golden Syrup, whereas James likes his with Nutella, cherries and Almonds, Callum on the other hand liked his with strawberry jam and cream.

As you can see we had lots of fun trying different things but you could always make savoury fillings and have pancakes as part of your lunch or dinner. Or you could try the Diddy Sweet pancakes, warmed and dipped in melted chocolate. We melted chocolate orange and ate them with that but you could use Nutella, melted white, milk or plain chocolate instead. There really is no right or wrong way to eat your pancakes.

Abra-Ca-Debora Dutch pancakes are made in the Netherlands but you can find them in the refrigerator aisles in most of your local Tesco, Sainsburys and Waitrose stores priced around Β£1.50 a pack. They are available in 3 different types, Sweet, Savoury and Diddy Sweet.

Will you be having pancakes on Tuesday? If so what will you be topping them with?
