Christmas Must Haves…

I always do my Christmas food/household shopping the week before Christmas (except for the fresh fruit and vegetables – it’s always a last minute dash for these) as I like to be prepared for everything. Here are a few things that you might want to consider this Christmas:
  • Tissues
With Rom – Coms and soaps on the TV, emotional moments with family and friends and most likely a snotty nose due to cold , Kleenex Christmas Cubes are a must have festive accessory this winter. Designed to add seasonal cheer to any room in the home or office desk, a colourful cube is perfect for getting you in the Christmas spirit. There are three wrapped present designs available. The new Kleenex Christmas Cubes are available from selected supermarkets, pharmacies and independent retailers for around £1.88.
  • Tape Dispensers
Handy to have at the side of you when wrapping all those gifts is a tape dispenser from Scotch. The new Scotch Magic Tape Kitty Dispenser or Ralph the Dog will put a smile on everyone’s face with their innovative twist on the traditional tape dispenser. They both come with a roll of Scotch Magic Tape, which has a matte-finish. It becomes invisible on paper. Its secure seal makes it perfect for a wide variety of uses and it can be written on with pen, pencil or a marker so is the ideal labelling tool especially if you run out of present labels this Christmas. Each dispenser come with a 19mm x 7.5m roll of Scotch Magic tape and are available from www.3mdirect.co.uk with an RRP of £8.99.

If you struggle to find the end of your tape even when using a dispenser make sure you have a Scotch Pop-Up Tape close to hand. The uniquely designed Scotch Pop-Up Tape Handband dispenser is an easy way to wrap gifts up perfectly every time. The dispenser comes in three colours – pink, silver and blue and has an RRP of £2.69. You can buy Refill Packs, containing three tape pads for £2.89. Scotch Tape products are available from Amazon, Asda, B&Q, Boots, Clintons, Homebase, Morrisons, Tesco, Rymans, Staples, Waitrose, Waterstones, WHSmith and 3M Direct (3mdirect.co.uk).
  • Cleaning Products

I always clean the house top to bottom before Christmas arrives. We always have friends and family visiting and it’s always nice to have a spotless house for when Santa comes. Astonish have a variety of products designed to make your life easier. From cleaning your bathroom to your kitchen, your oven, windows and polishing your furniture there is an Astonish product that will do the job. All Astonish products are Cruelty Free and have never been tested on animals. You can stock up on Astonish products from supermarkets and discount stores from at little as £1. I love that when using the products your house is left spick and span with minimal effort required. When in mid swing of Christmas preparations the last thing any of us want is to spend hours and hours scrubbing – with Astonish you have none of this.
  • A Festive Scent

There’s nothing quite like walking into the house and smelling the scent of Christmas – For me it’s cinnamon, oranges or spiced apples. I don’t know how it does it but there’s definitely something about a smell that takes me back to Christmas as a small child, visiting my nanna and grandad. This festive season Febreze have a range of scents available (Spiced Apple, Vanilla Latte, Festive Spice, Winter Garden and Warm Cedarwood) in a range of different products – candles, plug-ins, sprays and diffusers are all available priced from £2 – £6. You can find Febreze products in your local supermarkets.

  • A Travel Lock

If you are going away this Christmas then a little extra piece of mind is never a bad thing. An EasyLock would give you just that. The lock is as light as plastic, as strong as stainless steel, has a lifetime guarantee, and makes the user safe and secure in seconds. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, and also the only lock of its kind in the world to allow individuals to open the door slightly, to check a caller’s identity, or to take a letter, whilst maintaining total security. TheEasyLock costs £24.95, with free postage in Europe and £4 worldwide. They’re available in pink and silver and comes with a pink or blue pouch www.The-EasyLock.com. The EasyLock would also make a great gift for those who travel a lot, are planning on travelling or students who live in student accommodation.
