Although New Year has been and gone some of us couldn’t celebrate on the 31st or even the 1st. It was the same for us last year too as Matt was working (for some reason the security industry is very busy at this time of the year). So instead of partying with the rest of them we decided we would wait until this weekend when he was on his days off and celebrate on our own. We ordered a take away (the last one for me for a while) and cracked open the Oddka – yes you read that right Oddka.
See In The New Year With Oddka!!!
If your a fan of a Vodka every now and then or even a cocktail containing Vodka then Oddka will be just up your street. There are 5 unique flavours in total – Electricity, Peach Bellini, Twisted Melon, Salty Caramel Popcorn, and Fresh Cut Grass – interesting or strange you decide.
We were sent 3 of the flavours to try. I have to say I did have my reservations about them when I first saw their names but upon trying them I changed my mind. The Electricity (the blue one) has the strongest vol at 30%, whereas the Melon Twist and Salty Caramel Popcorn Flavours are 20% each.
I preferred the Oddka with lemonade but there are some really lovely cocktail / drink ideas you could try. One shot you could try is the Lightening Bolt. All you need to do is pour 2oz of Oddka Electricity into a shot glass and have a spoonful of popping candy ready to eat after you have downed your shot. It certainly has a little kick to it – If you don’t have any popping candy how a bout an Electric Shock shot instead, it’s exactly the same just without the popping candy.
Or if you prefer a cocktail how about a Twisting my Melon. All you need for this delicious drink is 2oz of Oddka Twisted Melon, 4oz of Cranberry juice and a lime wedge to garnish. Simply pour the ingredients into a tall glass and give a good stir. Add the lime wedge and enjoy. Perfect for parties and would work particularly well on a hot summers day and a barbecue. For more information on these check out the Oddka website.
You will find Oddka in both Asda and Sainsbury’s stores. The Salty Caramel Popcorn and Melon Twist are priced at £9.49 a bottle and the Electricity is priced at £11.49. These drinks are perfect to drink at home or to add a twist to a party. They are certainly guaranteed to get the party started.
