Out With The Old & In With The New

I think it is only right to start this post with a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all our old and new readers. I hope you have enjoyed reading our blog over the last year and I hope you will continue to do so in the future.

As you may have already seen we have a new name and blog layout one that I truly love and feel that is more us. As it is the new year I thought that this was the perfect time to make these all important changes. Although the changes have only just come about here on the blog they have been in the making for the last few months and is the result of a lot of hard work and planning from Lindy at Lindy Loves.
Many of my friends have said that they are happy to see the end of 2013 as it has brought them nothing but unhappy times. I on the other hand don’t think it has been that bad. Yes we lost family members and I even lost a couple of friendships but more than that, 2013 marked the end of an important time in my life. In the last year I turned 30. Saying goodbye to my 20’s was something I found really hard to accept. So much has happened in this decade of my life that shaped the life that I have now. I left uni, had my 3 boys, met the love of my life, moved away from my family, bought a dog – all the really serious things in life that everyone does all happened to me in my 20’s but now I have got my head around the end of this era I am happy to embrace my 30’s, 2014 and everything life has to throw at me.
So I bid 2013 a fond farewell and welcome 2014 with a warm embrace, it certainly can’t be any worse than last year, and I am a great believer in “everything happens for a reason”.My hope for 2014 is that my family, friends and I are healthy and happy – nothing else matters. Of course I am hoping we will finally set a date for a 2015 / 16 wedding but who knows what the future holds I may even win a wedding or a car or a holiday – stranger things have happened yes??
