What To Include In A Christmas Eve Box

For the last few years on Christmas Eve, we have had a little tradition in our house where a box filled with festive treats is opened after our evening meal. It is something that we have loved and will be doing again this year. I think it’s lovely that we all get to enjoy the festive treats together and it’s a great way to spend quality time as a family. Usually, we find new pyjamas, a Christmas movie, sweets, biscuits and hot chocolate inside.
If you’re thinking of starting a similar tradition for your family here are a few suggestions that you could include in your own Christmas Eve box.

A Box – First you will need a box there are so many different ones available that you will be spoilt for choice. You could make your own customised box or buy one that is personalised especially for your family or children. Baby Blooms have personalised boxes suitable for all budgets. My favourite item of theirs is a bundle that contains a personalised box, a plate for Santa’s snacks and a copy of “Twas The Night Before Christmas” book. The cost of the bundle* is £40 but the items are things you can use year upon year and are ones that could become a great family tradition. The Christmas Eve box can be personalised with any names you’d like up to 25 characters – either a family name or children’s names or a combination you choose. The plate can also be personalised using up to 25 characters. Last orders for personalised boxes is 13th December 2017.

Festive DVD’s – One of the things I love about Christmas is getting to spend quality time with my family. We love snuggling on the sofa watching festive movies. We are planning to watch Elf and Arthur Christmas very soon. We always watch The Polar Express and Home Alone on Christmas Eve to get ourselves in the Christmassy mood.

Sweets and Treats – Whilst watching your festive movies why not eat some lovely treats. This year Haribo* have may products available including Strawb Trees, a Moam Stripes Cracker, a fun tub full of mini bags of sweets and a selection box full of sweet treats. For those who prefer biscuits and cakes Walkers Shortbread* have a great selection of festive shaped shortbread biscuits, tarts and pies available including mini Scotty dogs, Ecclefechan tarts, chocolate & toffee shortbread and Spiced Orange & cranberry pies. For chocolate lovers, you could add some of Cadburys* seasonal treats including their Snowballs, selection boxes and chocolate Santas. If you’d like to include a very cute and luxurious chocolate gift Betty’s* Chocolate festive animals would be a perfect choice.

Other items you could add to your box – New pyjamas for the whole family, mugs and hot chocolate. These would be great finishing touches to the box full of lovely things.
