Things To Do With The Kids In The School Holidays

My Three broke up for their Easter holidays today but I can guarantee that in a couple of days they will be moaning they are bored and have nothing to do. Here are a few of the things we will be doing to make sure that the boredom is kept at bay.

Grow Your Own Grass Head -  Not something that will instantly grow but this kit from What 2 Buy 4 Kids is sure to go down a treat with any little ones who are bored. The kit contains everything needed - a cute little ceramic pot, soil and seeds, all you need to add is water!

Decorate Eggs - Either boil some eggs and let them cool or blow them so that the yolk and white are removed. Use paints or felt tips to decorate your eggs any way you wish. Maped Helix's new range of Super Hero Paints and felt tip pens would be great for this task. A fun and relatively mess free task that will keep your little ones busy for an afternoon. The paints wash out of clothes easily should your little ones spill them and the felt pens will never lose their lids ever again - how great is that?

Play A Board Game - There's A Yeti In My Spaghetti is a fun game for all the family to play. Players take it in turns to carefully pull the spaghetti sticks from the bowl, but they best be careful not to let the yeti that is sat balancing on top tumble into the bowl. The player who makes the yeti fall is the loser! The game is suitable for children aged 4 plus and for 2 or more players. It's available to buy from Amazon.

Have An Egg Hunt - What's not to love about looking for eggs in the house and garden. We will be having our very own hunt before Easter arrives and the boys and their friends can't wait. We will share some of our pictures and a post about our hunt with you next week.

Bake Cupcakes - We always bake in the holidays - it doesn't take too long to create some delicious buns and decorate them and obviously, the best bit is eating them afterwards. We will be sharing some of our creations with you over the next couple of weeks.

Watch A DVD - There's nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa watching a film or two with popcorn and hot chocolate. We were recently sent a Milk Frother from Aldi and it has changed the way we make hot chocolate forever. Simply add your milk to the frother and press the button, it will automatically heat your milk and froth it up at the same time.

Go For A Walk & Fly A Kite - We love to take our dogs for a walk, we're lucky that we live really close to a race course so whilst the dogs are chasing after their ball if it's a little windy the boys will be trying to fly their kite. These Kite's from Aldi are really cute and are perfect for flying at this time of year.

Visit The Seaside - My parents live on the coast so going to visit them is the perfect excuse to have an ice cream by the sea and we will certainly be having a walk along the beach should the weather be nice.
