Inside This Months Box:
Jack Daniels – Honey BBQ Glaze (£1.99). Thanks to the infusion the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey Liqueur the glaze has a hint of honey and a tasty smooth flavour. Perfect for adding to ribs and chicken for a sweet and sticky glazing or as a dip for wedges and vegetables. Available from Tesco.
Garofalo – Fusilli (£1.99) Corkscrew shaped pasta – just one of the many shapes available in the UK from Garofalo. Made from high-quality Durum wheat and shaped using a bronze die gives Garofalo pasta its premium taste and texture.
Cranes – Cider ( 2 x £1.90). Cranes Cider is a 4% alcoholic drink that is brewed purely from crushed cranberries, with added juice for real flavour. Available in three flavours – Original Cranberry, Raspberry & Pomegranate and Strawberry & Kiwi. Cranes Cider is 100% natural, contains only 99 calories and has very little added sugar. Available to buy from Ocado and shop.drinkcranes.co.uk.
Kallo – Yoghurt Coated Rice Cakes & Milk Chocolate Corn Cakes (£1.69 and £1.29). The Yoghurt Coated Rice Cakes are a great biscuit alternative. They are made with whole grain brown rice and coated in yoghurt. If you fancy a chocolatey mid morning snack then Kallo Milk Chocolate Corn Cakes are for you. Suitable for vegetarians and coeliacs and they only contain 78 calories each.
Brioche Pasquier – Croissants (£1.80). A french breakfast just wouldn’t be complete without a croissant. Brioche Pasquier croissants are free from preservatives, hydrogenated fats and artificial flavours. Wrapped in packs of two, the croissants stay fresher for longer and can be taken to eat as a snack on the go. They can be eaten both hot and cold and taste delicious with jam and cream.
Get Fruity – fruity bar (£1.00). Get Fruity bars contain gluten free oats and virgin coconut oil with no added refined sugars and are produced on a nut free sit. There are 6 varieties available. They are an ideal lunchbox snack.
Beloved Dates – Date Nectar (£3.50). Gluten, wheat and dairy free Beloved Dates unique Date Nectar is made from 100% pure dates – nothing else. The nectar makes a great topping for porridge, pancakes and can even be used as an alternative to sugar in baking. It offers a delicious, natural sweet caramel taste. It is also suitable for vegans.
The Wonderful Co – Pistachios & Almonds (90p each). Both Wonderful Almonds and Pistachios are sun-ripened in California. The Almonds have a sweet, mild flavour and a crunchy texture. They are ideal for snacking and in cooking. Only the largest Pistachios are chosen and roasted to perfection. They are one of my favourite nuts and I love to eat them whilst watching TV on a night.
Pechkeks – Misfortune Cookies (£1.00 each). These cookies are the opposite of a Fotune Cookie as thier name suggests. The messages inside the black cookies are crude, truthful and direct – they are both brutally honest and pessimistic – but of course they should be taken with a sense of humour. For mort information visit www.misfortune-cookie.co.uk.
Pomegreat – Pomegranate Juice (£1.49). I like Pomegranates and was expecting to like this juice. It’s sweet in taste and quite refreshing. It’s a nice change to “normal” fruit juices. The Pomegranates are grown in California and are only harvested when they are bursting with flavour. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
