A Smart / Casual Outfit for Spring / Summer

I don’t know about you but when I go out for the day with friends, to the cinema or for a meal I like to be dressed casually. In fact, casual is my everyday look, but just because I like casual that doesn’t mean I don’t like to look nice. So when it comes to buying new clothes I try to buy items that I can wear at home, on the school run, to the cinema or out to dinner. I hate spending a lot of money on clothes for myself and always feel guilty when I spend a lot so I try to keep my spending to a minimum.

I was recently contacted my MandM Direct and asked to create an outfit for under £55. Below is the outfit that I put together. I chose 5 products. I think that they could easily be mixed and matched to wear for different occasions.

The first item I choose was a fine knit dolman sleep wrap cardigan from Onfire. Although summer is definitely on the way, nights are still on the cool side and our school run is at least an hour round walk so it’s best to have something with you that you can slip on (or off) if the weather is changeable. I love that the cardigan is available in sizes 10 – 20 and for just £7.99 (RRP £34.99).

Another item I chose was a cami vest top also from Onfire. It has an all over floral print and is available in two different colours. It is made from 100% cotton and is perfect for summer days / evenings out. I think that at £12.99 (RRP £26.00) the top is really good value for money. It looks great with both a skirt or jeans.  You can buy the top in sizes 10 – 20.

If I’m honest, I would say that I live in T-shirts and jeans / jeggings 85% of the time. T-shirts are both practical and comfortable to wear. I love the T-shirt from Onfire that I chose. It has a lovely floral print on the front and is perfect for the school run / visits to the cinema. This T-shirt costs just £6.99 (RRP £26.99) and is available in sizes 10 – 20.

I am also the girl who lives in her flat shoes – heels come out on very rare occasions (it’s not that I don’t love heels my feet and knees just hurt for ages after I wear them). I chose these sandals as I think they are the perfect footwear for anything from the school run to a night out on the town. They cost just £9.99 (RRP £19.99)  and are available in sizes 3 – 8. I adore the diamante detailing to them, it’s subtle but adds the perfect finishing touch.

My final item that I chose was a pair of Jeggings from Onfire. They cost £16.99 (RRP £39.99), are available in sizes 10 – 20 and in both 29 and 31″ leg lengths – which is perfect for those of us girls with little legs. They have fly and button fastening and two back pockets.

I think that all the items that I chose look great with each other or separately. They are perfect for spring days and summer nights out. The total cost for the items included in my post is £54.95.
