Disney and World Book Day

As you probably all know, it was World Book Day a few days ago. The boys all dressed up for school as their favourite book characters. I always let them choose their own costumes when it comes to special occasions like this as there's nothing worse than wearing something you feel uncomfortable in. Disney Store asked us if we'd like to choose one of their fabulous fancy dress costumes. We agreed straight away and after a lot of thinking on his part, Nathan asked if he could be Captain America - his favourite superhero.

The Captain America Costume Nathan chose is a printed all in one suit. It has easy fastening tabs at the back of the costume. Both the gloves and face mask can be removed at any time. The belt is easy fastening with a clip and it has handy little pouches. The costume Nathan chose is priced at £35.95, but at the moment, you can get selected Disney Fancy Dress Costumes with 25% off.

Nathan is always making up stories about meeting his favourite Avenger. This is my favourite one by far. It's a story about a day he shared with Captain America and Iron Man.

There once was a little boy called Nathan, he was 8 years old and lived with his mum, dad, 2 annoying brothers, 2 dogs, a cat and a tortoise called Mr Turtle. They lived in a lovely house in the middle of a big town but they often visited the seaside so that they could eat fish and chips and ice cream with a chocolate flake in the top.

On one of these trips, Nathan asked if everyone could have an ice cream before going to play the 2p slot machines in the arcades. His mum and dad agreed that it was an excellent idea, whilst they were waiting in line for their ice creams. Nathan noticed that both Captain America and Iron Man were in front of him in the queue and were waiting to buy an ice cream too.

Nathan started talking to his favourite superheroes and asked them if they wanted to play in the arcades too. Captain America said he'd love to and would even try to win some soft toys from the grabber machines. Iron Man just wanted to play on the racing car games and went off to play on his own. Nathan and Captain America won lots of soft toys and had so much fun playing on the 2p machines.

When it was time to go home Nathan thanked both Captain America and Iron Man for a great afternoon and asked that if they came to the seaside again would they give him a call so that he could come too and he said if they ever needed a new Avenger he was only a phone call away as he'd love to be a superhero too...
