July Degustabox

I can’t believe we are half way through the school holidays already the weeks really seem to have flown by. I also can’t believe that another Degustabox has been delivered. Regular readers will know that every month we are sent a box of delicious foods all of which are a surprise. We have no idea what’s inside until we open the box up.

For those of you who don’t know Degustabox is a monthly subscription food box. You pay £12.99 (this includes delivery) and each month you will receive a box of  9 – 14 surprise food products – some of which are new products. The value of items in your box will always be more than what you have paid. However, if you aren’t happy with the service and you wish to cancel your subscription you can do so at any time as you are under no obligation to buy more boxes than you want too.

Inside This Months Box:

Two bottles of Weetabix on the go (£1.49 each). A breakfast drink for on the go people. Contains energy, protein, fibre, milk and 4 vitamins and iron. Ideal for those who like myself find themselves rushing around with no time to sit and eat a meal before they need to head out of the door.

Two packets of Fru Snax (£1.25 each). A mixture of fruit and yogurt pieces freeze dried to lock in their goodness. Perfect to eat at anytime of the day and ideal for on the go snacks or lunchboxes. Each pack contains less than 50 calories.
One bottle of Lambrini So Strawberry (£3.29). Summer is here and when the weather is nice I like nothing better than to sit in the garden with my book and a glass of wine in the evenings. We also host the best barbecues in Yorkshire (bus shhhh it’s a secret) so a bottle or two of wine always goes down a treat with me. So strawberry has a light and fruity flavour and makes for the perfect summer drink to enjoy on your own or with friends.
One packet of Toasted Bread Chips from Say Yes To No (£1.49). The boys loved these snacks and were happy to replace their usual crisps with them. They were great for sharing whilst we all sat and watched a film together. They are free from artificial flavourings and additives, there’s no marketing gimmicks or photoshopping on the packaging either – what you see is really what you get.

One bottle of Newton’s Appl Fizzics, Just Apple juice (£1.20). A blend of apple juice and sparkling water. A completely natural drink that contains no artificial ingredients, preservatives or added sugar. It contains 40 % less sugar than apple juice on it’s own. It tastes best when its been chilled and makes a lovely refreshing drink especially when it’s nice in the garden.
Two Gluten Free meals from Tasty Little Numbers (£3.49 each). I have reviewed Tasty Little Numbers before and was impressed with the products that I tried. Each meal contains 200 calories and are perfect for those who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle or those who have to follow a gluten free diet.

One packet of Kids Mediterranean Quinoa from Quinola Mothergrain (£1.99). A new range of ready meals for kids. Each meal is ready in 30 seconds and tastes great. Quinoa is a new food that is really popular. My Three  have tried it recently and like it so were eager to try this new meal too. Quinoa offers slow releasing carbs and complete protein.
One packet of Cheesy Peas (£1.50) from Taking The Pea. Probably one of my favourite items from this months box. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I opened the packet but I pleasantly surprised by what I found. Fresh English flavoured peas that provide more protein than crisps and less fat than nuts. They are high in fibre and contain less than 145 calories. Perfect for a snack on the go… Whoever thought that cheesy flavoured peas would taste so good.
