As the weather has been glorious and extremely warm - we've been graced with temperatures of 33 / 34 degrees here in Yorkshire over the last few days, I've made sure the boys are aware how dangerous sun can be. They've not been allowed out to play without their sun hats and Banana Boat sun cream (£1.99). They even had some cool sunglasses (99p) to protect their eyes.
There's no better way to cool off than in a pool. James loved the little paddling pool (£3.49) we were sent - even Ziggy took a dip too cool off. They boys loved that they could fill their water guns (£2.49) easily from the pool too - it made great fun in their water fights. James has also had lots of fun with his bubble wand (99p). He was very impressed with the amount of bubbles that could be made from spinning around with the wand in his hand.
With Wimbledon in full swing the boys have been busy learning to play tennis at school - although James told us he's not very good and that practice makes perfect (I think his teacher has been having words in his ear) Callum on the other hand seems something of a natural. He's even been practising
his skills with the Boom Bat Set (£1.99). For older kids / grown ups who use real tennis rackets you can get a set of three Tennis balls for £1.99 - perfect for those who fancy their chances at being the next Andy Murray.
We were also sent two kites to play with. We've not had chance to try them out yet as we've not had enough wind to get them off the ground. But we can't wait to try the Mickey Mouse kite (99p) and the
Parafoil kite (£1.99).
