My #SlimFastChallenge Results

For the last two weeks I have been taking part in the #SlimFastChallenge. That challenge was to follow Slim-Fast's 3.2.1 Plan. 

At first I was a little worried that I would fall by the way side and not be able to stick to the plan as I'm the world's worst dieter - I have 0 willpower and when I'm hungry I become a really horrible person (what can I say I like my food). But I'm pleased to say that even I managed to stick to the plan reasonably well. Every day I was able to have three snacks, two meal replacement products and one balanced meal. I think that it helped that there's wide a range of products available as there is nothing worse than getting fed up of eating the same thing over and over - with this plan you can shake things up a little with the different meal bars / shakes / snacks. I have to say that I did have my favourites - I love the sour cream and chive bites, the summer berry meal bars and the strawberry ready made shakes but thought that the other products tasted nice too and for those of us with a (very) sweet tooth the chocolatey meal bars and snacks really did hit the spot and fill the gap when I needed a chocolate fix. 
It's always a struggle to get breakfast on time in my house especially on the mornings when I have to do the school runs - no matter what time I get up I always end up rushing around and usually end up having breakfast later in the morning or sometimes not at all. I found that with the challenge I could take a meal bar or ready made shake with me on the school run and enjoy it on the way. They are small enough to be slipped into my pocket or handbag so even on the days when I was going into town or to a friends I could take my meals and snacks with me without them taking up lots of room.
  
With the plan you are allowed one meal a day. This for me was always my evening meal with the boys. A roast dinner is one of my favourites and I am so pleased that this wasn't taken off the menu. Other meals we ate included pasta carbonara and garlic bread, jacket potato, cream cheese and beans with sausages and chicken with sweet and sour sauce with egg fried rice. 
  
At the beginning of my challenge I weighed in at 11st 9lb. At the end of the challenge I am happy to say that I now weigh 11st 6lb - so an overall loss of 3lb - not bad to say I had a night out in there too. 
I know I still have a way to go but I will continue with my journey and hopefully get to my target weight of 9st 6lb for my big day.
