Do you live in an apartment or house with no garden access? or like me just not very good at the upkeep of a big garden. I'm honest when I say that I'm not very good when it comes to the upkeep of my garden. I have very few flowers, dig out the weeds when required and leave the grass cutting to Matthew (but it's a little embarrassing as my dad's a gardener!!). If you said yes, then have you thought about having an indoor garden? or perhaps you already have one that you've successfully managed to keep on top of inside your home.
For the last week I have been growing strawberries inside and I am pleased to say that so far so good. (I will keep you updated on their progress in the next few weeks). I'm looking forward to enjoying them with some cream once they are ready to be picked.
The brilliant thing about an indoor garden is that you don't need lots of space - you simply grow as little or as much as you like and with the use of an LED light your garden is sure to flourish in no time.
If you have your own indoor garden then Lightbulbs Direct have a competition running that you can enter. They are searching for the UK’s best indoor gardens. So whether you’re a budding gardener, flower fiend or someone who simply likes pottering with plants, now is your chance to show off your gardening skills.
All you need to do is visit Lightbulbs Direct and share a photo of your indoor garden on their website with a caption or tweeting @LightBulbsDirect using the hashtag #BulbsForBulbs. The entries will be wittled down to 10 finalists, LightBulbs Direct will then invite people to help pick the best photo by ‘Liking’ and commenting on the photos. The winner will receive a luxury hamper full of gardening goodies.
