Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. The one day of the year you get to show the one you love, just how much they mean to you (not that you shouldn’t show them all year round mind). But if you’re stuck for ideas on what to buy them then read on as I may just have something to inspire you.
Nothing quite says I love you on Valentine’s Day like chocolates do. There are plenty of chocolates out there this year but these are my favourites:
For those with a sweet tooth Fudge Kitchen have an array of gifts available this Valentine’s Day. I love their Slim Slider Valentine’s collection (RRP £6). It contains six hand made and decorated, creamy fudge treats. Inside the cute pink box you will find two classic Sea Salted Caramel, two dark Chocolate Rose Cream and two White Chocolate & Raspberry. You can treat your other half to a fudge making experience for two for £50 so they can have a go at making their favourite
This year Toblerone have released a special edition 60g Triangle. The “You’re my Number One” bar has an RRP of £1.15 and is available from stores nationwide – it’s the perfect way to show that someone special that you care. There is also a limited edition 400g bar available too priced around £4.99.
Guylian’s Belgian Chocolates are a firm favourite of mine. This year they have a variety of products that would be suitable to give as a Valentine’s Day gift. The I Love You box contains individually wrapped heart shaped chocolates. Each one is filled with roasted hazelnut praline. There are two different sized boxes the 50g box (RRP £1.49) contains four praline filled hearts and would make the ideal love token, whilst the 125g box (RRP £3.99) would be perfect as a gift on their own for those on a budget. If the heart’s aren’t quite what you’d like why not go for a box of Guylian’s new Caramel Sea Horses. Each Belgian chocolate shell is filled with a soft and delicate caramel filling – a perfect addition to the already popular sea horse and shell chocolate collections. Each box has an RRP £4.00.
If chocolates aren’t your thing this year how about some gift ideas that are designed to pamper your loved one? Below you will find my favourite gift ideas:

For those who really like to spoil your other half why not treat them to a gift of the gadget kind. I love reading and would love for Matthew to Surprise me with an Amazon Kindle on Valentine’s Day.
You can purchase a Kindle from £59. The nation’s favourite e-reader has been made even better, with a touchscreen display that reads like real paper and built-in Wi-Fi which allows you to download books in 60 seconds making this perfect for reading all those romantic novels.
If you’d like to treat your other half to a new mobile phone why not consider the Kazam Tornado 348 (£249). The Tornado 348 was registered in the Guinness book of records as the slimmest smartphone in the world in 2014. Not only is it slim but stylish too and packed full of features. I’m sure anyone would love to be given this as a present from their loved one.
The simulators provide the closest experience you will ever get to racing in an F1 car without actually being on a race team yourself – how great would that be?
If you are planning on spending Valentine’s night at home then why not have a few drinks with your other half and spend the evening getting to know one another properly. Play a few games, maybe have a couple of drinks…
Even couples who have been together for a long while lose touch and can sometimes drift apart. The Art Of Conversation (£9.99) game aims to change that and get couples communicating again. The new Couples edition provide a conversation stimulus for couples of all ages, from newlyweds to partners celebrating golden wedding anniversaries, parents who are too busy to take the time to communicate about anything other than family chores or even couples who are experiencing relationship difficulties. With questions ranging from light-hearted to deep and meaningful, the packs are also perfect for wedding tables to help get the conversation flowing while love is in the air.
If you fancy a drink on Valentine’s night Zing Vodka (£39.99) would be a great choice. Created by Adrienne Maloof, a star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, who is renowned for her creativity and business acumen. Zing is a premium Vodka brand and is four times distilled and ultra-smooth. I love that the bottle illuminates using LED technology and definitely captures your attention.
I hope that you the above gift ideas have given you a few thoughts as to what to buy that special someone in your life this Valentine’s Day.
