Degustabox Review

If you are a regular reader of My Three and Me you will know that every month we are sent a box of delicious foods from Degustabox. Every month I look forward to my delivery as each box is full of surprise food items. I get really excited when I receive an email telling me that my delivery is scheduled as I can’t wait to see what the box has inside.

If you’ve never heard of Degustabox let me tell you a little about them. Degustabox is a monthly subscription service. You pay £12.99 (this includes delivery) and each month you will receive a box of  9 – 14 surprise food products – some of which are new products. The value of items in your box will always be more than what you have paid. However, if you aren’t happy with the service and you wish to cancel your subscription you can do so at any time as you are under no obligation to buy more boxes than you want too.

Inside this months box there was the following items:

1 packet of Jelly Belly Sour Jelly Beans (£2.80). There are over 100 Jelly Belly Jelly Bean flavours. We are huge fans in our house as they taste amazing – we are even considering having them as our wedding favours. The bag we were sent was full of sour flavoured Jelly Beans.

1 sliced brioche loaf from Brioche Pasquier (£1.89). The loaf is made exactly the same way as their rolls. It is great as a snack. I loved it toasted for breakfast or as a late snack whilst watching the TV, even the boys liked it when they came home from school.

1 Getbuzzing Flapjack (£1.89). This flapjack is made from a range of 100% natural ingredients. It is designed to provide fast and slow releasing energy that will keep you going for longer, making it the perfect on the go snack.

1 packet of Bear Paws fruit snacks (£0.55). These pure fruit snacks are perfect for lunchboxes or as a snack when you’re out and about. They contain no added sugar or preservatives. They are baked into paw print shapes which James absolutely loved.

1 bottle of Enhance Drink (£2.49). This juice is made with real fruit juice and has no added sugar. Each bottle is small and ideal so ideal to be carried around. One squeeze easily transforms plain boring water to a light and refreshing fruit juice and the best bit each drink contains just 1 calorie.

1 tub of Solo Marshmallow Creme (£1.99). The spreadable marshmallow treat can be used in baking or eaten straight from the tub. It is available from americansoda.co.uk. and available in original and toasted flavours.

2 bottles of Blue Dragon Sweet Chilli Sauce (£1.39 each). This is the UK’s best tasting Sweet Chilli Sauce. Perfect for dipping or adding to stirfrys. Available from most supermarkets.

1 packet of Pain Au Chocolat Brioche Rolls from Brioche Pasquier (£1.60). Perfect for lunchboxes, as a snack or breakfast on the go, these rolls are soft and tasty.

1 packet of Special K Cracker Crisps (£1.89). Made with 60% less fat than other crisps these snacks are ideal for those who want to try to eat a balanced diet or those trying to lose weight. There are a few flavours available including Sour Cream and Onion, Sweet Chilli and Barbecue.

1 bar of Premium 90% Extra Dark Chocolate from Dr Oetker (£2.89). This is a new product to the Dr Oetker baking products range. Made from Ghanian Cocoa Beans for an indulgent chocolate taste. Ideal for melting and using in chocolatey recipes.

1 Meal Kit from Kent’s Kitchen (£2.50). With this kit you can make a meal in 3 easy steps and all within 20 minutes.

1 packet of Fine Dark Cocoa Powder from Dr Oetker (£1.89). Each packet has 3 x 25g sachets inside. The Cocoa Powder is made from the finest quality cocoa beans and is created with home baking in mind and gives a rich chocolate colour and flavour so perfect for making cakes and buns – something my three love to do.

1 trial pack of Bear Alpha Bites cereal. Perfect for breakfast or any time of the day if like Matthew and you like late night snacks. This little box was enough for one portion.

Inside our box we were sent an envelope called “Degustabox Fridge” Inside was a voucher for us to use in a supermarket to buy a 4 pack of Benecol yoghurts. There were different varieties available in the Morrisons that I went too. A four pack is priced at £2.39.

For more information about Degustabox you can find them on Facebook and Twitter.

I can’t wait until my next Degustabox arrives, so I can see what treats await us in our next box.
