The boys were recently sent some fabulous toys from Tomy to review but they have been so busy that we decided to recruit some extra help for these. H is the son of one of Matthew’s work colleagues. He is nearly two and is quite the adventurer. He loves exploring so I thought he would be the perfect person to try out the John Deere Sit & Scoot ATV ride on toy and the John Deere County Fair Wagon Toy.
The County Fair Wagon Ride toy is a new toy for 2014. It has lots of features. If you press the button you will hear a selection of tunes and animal sound effects. You will also notice that the farm animals jump along in the wagon as the tractor moves along. The toy allows for play and learning at the same time, it also introduces farm play at a young age.
The toy requires 2 x AA batteries (which are included). It is aimed at children aged 18 months – 3 years old. It is priced at £22.99. I love the tunes that it plays and I absolutely adore the cute little face on the tractor.
The Sit and scoot ATV is the exact replica of the John Deere ATV’s used by farmers – the attention to detail is very accurate. It is the perfect toy for little ones who are just finding their feet / adventurous side. The front and rear racks swivel up and down to encourage curiosity. There are buttons to press on the controls. Once pressed you can hear music and encouraging messages. There is even realistic engine sounds and blinking indicators.
The Sit and Scoot is suitable for children aged 12 months plus, it is priced at £44 and requires 3 x AA batteries (which are included). I think this toy is very sturdy and made to last. It has given H plenty of hours of fun and I am sure it will provide him with plenty more. As you can see from the video below H loves both of the toys.
