Planning Father’s Day In Advance

My dad lives 80 miles away so we don’t always get to see each other as much as we’d like. We do try to make extra effort on special occasions and Father’s Day is definitely one of those occasions, but sometimes we just can’t get our timetables to coincide. So if I don’t get to see him I like to plan my gift for him in advance. I always send him a card through the post with a note to expect his gift when we next see him (unless it’s small enough to be posted).

My dad is really hard to buy for. He never wants or asks for anything and he really is boring – his hobbies are fishing and more fishing although i do love him dearly I just hate trying to buy for him. We also buy gifts on a budget as we never have a lot to spare so this can be tricky – my dad even tells me not to bother buying him anything but I always buy him something even if it is small.

This year I have been looking at many different presents for him and intend to buy him some fishing lures and possibly a hip flask that has an engraved picture on it. I have seen a lovely one that has a fisherman on the front which I think he will love. Normally we buy him chocolates or a small bottle of whiskey but I think he will like this years gifts much more.

Along with his present I will of course be buying a Father’s Day card. I have been looking at personalised cards and came across one that I think is perfect for my dad.

I spotted this card from Dom and Geri. It is priced at £2.49 and can be personalised with both a picture and text. The website is really easy to navigate and your item is extremely easy to personalise in step by step instructions. The best bit is that they even sell matching personalised wrapping paper and gift tags – perfect for any fishing mad dad.
Dom and Geri have lots of personalised cards, banners, wrapping paper and gift cards to offer for all occasions. They are a great place to start if you are wanting that unique personal touch to your gifts.
