When you have just bought a new tablet you really should also consider buying a new case for it. This is something I would highly recommend and have even had a few conversations with family and friends when they tell me that they have plans to purchase a new gadget. Surprisingly they look at me with a face of confusion and I have even heard the “don’t be daft, we don’t need one of those”. Let me tell you if you have children, pets or you’re just plain clumsy then yes you need a case. In fact I would say a case is a necessity with any new tablet purchase. If you have recently purchased or are thinking of purchasing the recently released iPad Air you should definitely think of buying a Kensington Comercio case.
The case is easy fitted to your ipad as you simply need to slide your iPad into it. There is no messing around with clips or anything. It really is a 2 second job and once inside your iPad is snuggly and securely protected. The inside of the case acts as a soft screen cover and will protect your iPad’s delicate display against scratches and damage, there is also storage for any important papers and business cards, there is even a holder for a stylus if you use one.
One of the main things that I like about this case is that it doesn’t add to much bulk to the iPad. One of the main selling points of the iPad Air is that is it thinner than previous models. So to me this is an important factor when choosing a case. You want one that is slim fitting but will protect your iPad to the max.
Another thing that I noticed when placing the iPad in the case is that it has strong corners and edges. These are designed in this way to protect the corners of your iPad. I think this is a great idea as I am always putting my iPad in my handbag or in the glove box of the car when we are out and things are always being pushed against it. Plus if you were to drop it (not that I recommend it) the most fragile parts of your iPad have some protection.
The Comercio case has a built-in two-position stand that will securely hold your iPad upright for hands-free FaceTime chats and is perfect for if you are wanting to watch a film or if you are letting a small person watch a film you can sit the iPad a little way from then and it will sit perfectly.
This case is available to buy for £34.99 from Kensington. We were sent the Olive coloured case but there are other colours you can choose.
Overall I am really impressed with the quality of the case. It is well made and your iPad looks great inside it.
